Game Day Tiges v Port

Plenty of times our players streamed forward but the player with the ball wasn’t strong enough to get the handball out. This is where we murder less senior teams. Port prepared well and tackled well.

Fingers crossed we got through without a serious injury and can regroup.

Think Soldo might be a serious injury???

Ran out of legs. 4 day break and a flight.
3 games within 10 days and with an inexperienced group. Port had more experience and stuck their tackles and spoils. They shouldn't get too carried away with this win.

I think we twice came back from 3-4 goals down to hit the lead. Against the top side on their own dunghill.
Heart-wise that's pretty commendable. Not many have done that even once this year.

The kids in the midfield got shown up tonight. Not surprising they'd collectively have a down game at some stage. Honourable loss, just a shame we could't steal one before a 9 day break.

The premiership campaign starts now.

We need to get over these plastic talls that seem to save there best against us.
We did ok considering 5 players are VFL quality.
Im not sure whats happened to stack.
Pickett comes in and then goes out of games too often.
Rioli isn't the Rioli i know.

Not the end of the world. But we need to get more help in the guts.

Eddie complaining so much that he didnt even commentate Pickett's hanger. *smile* off, you are a disgrace.
Will go close to mark of the year and Eddie was busy cheering on Port about an earlier piece of play

If we were smashed why did it take them till 10 minutes to go to win it? They were playing on their home ground as well. Yes we lost but to say we got smashed is clueless.
And we had to fly 3 hours. Not an excuse but we were nowhere near full strength. Except for Rozee that was Port's best team. Motlop and Burton? *smile* off.

Would be more than happy to play them in finals with Cotchin, Prestia, Nank, Edwards and Houli replacing Ross, Soldo, Egg, Rioli and someone else; Stack, George or Pickett.

Commendable result given the outs and off a 4 day break flying in this morning.

Yeah we lost but our upside is huge. Power played their Grand Final today.
It felt like that. A team penciled it in.
Pretty happy we had a strong hit out against a potential contender rather than a easy win. Look at the names we still have out.

We have to come back from the longer break with the same attitude as we did last year after the bye .

While it doesn’t guarantee success , we are in a similar position , we know what is required

We played pretty good!

Dusty thrives on the crowd, you could see the moment he heard the booing and responded. Warrior.

I’d love to play another team from Adelaide in an interstate Grand Final with their fans going crazy over umpires!

Spot on JB. Smashed in the clearances and our backline was uncharacteristically shaky tonight. Especially when the ball hit the deck. I can't recall a worse game from our backline in years.

We need a clearance beast. I could understand us chasing Brad Crouch. We don't value winning clearances enough and it was the reason we lost the game tonight.
Spot on. Game has changed. Why didn’t we look at Collier-Dawkins either?

The fixture has bent us over.
When these knobs were in qld we didn't move..
Even when we were fixtured to play WC in Queensland, then GWS at home a week before they get thrown out.

Biggest disappointment for me was the backline. Comprehensively beaten.
