This is interesting. Adolf clearly said the majority of clubs opposed the move. If thats not the case and only 4 clubs opposed it Adolf has some (more) serious credibility issue. Not sure who is the bigger goose out of McGuire and Adolf.

Andy Finger Puppet also said on Monday night that the majority of clubs opposed us in their submissions.

He can't help himself old ed. They asked him about us getting cousins, fair enough. His reply, paraphrasing here, good luck to ben and the RFC, everyone should get a second, third, fourth or whatever chance ,
Why the need to sound like someone who's had the lunch money taken off them ed? You came across like a sook.

That's a really low comment from Eddie, I didn't hear that, that really annoys me coming from a bloke who pulled out after nearly selecting him.

I imagine he is very anxious at the moment, if Cousins thrives at RFC his supporters are going to be livid. Watch him get all smug and pretend to be "dissapointed" if Cousins fails.

What an ass.

He has been having a bad day so far.

They obviously despatched Heath Shaw and Didak to the RCH yesterday to be photographed with a young kiddie to try to improve their image but that could only manage page 15 of the HUN.

They also tried to beat up an announcement that they had re-signed a couple of minor sponsors but that only rated two lines in the Age. It also appears that the the Red bank is going to acquire one of their jumper sponsors, hopefully, they will absorb it and not bother renewing the sponsorship at all.

What next? Nick Maxwell to captain the Pies? Or will it be Josh Fraser? Anthony Rocca? Ben Johnson?

Spare me!

Great post! :clap

Go onto the Pies fansites and see how annoyed they are at...

1) Not taking Cuz
2) For Eddies comments
3) On Maxwell being named captain

They are all talking about Richmonds midfield and that they have no hope against them!

B1

I have a tight deadline I am trying to meet and am finding it hard to ignore this forum without going onto scumwood sites and getting a perverse pleasure from seeing them "eat their own" (where have i heard that before?).

But loving reading the highlights from you guys, keep up the good work!

anyone know what time their AGM is tonight? May be worth logging onto the Pies sights afterwards to see the reaction. Reckon this will be the ugliest crowd Eddie has had to face in a long time.

Olympic Room, MCG at 6.30pm

Let's hope their ferals all bring extra shoes to throw.........

Now that would be a great Chaser like stunt. Setup a both outside the entrance selling old shoes. You could have the distance collection, accuracy collection or the Collingwood Special "Alternate Strip" value pack where you get to identical shoes, both right footed.

Eddie is just dirty that he gave up a round 1 blockbuster against the Tigers and now knows that Round 1 Richmond V Carlton (Cousins V Judd) is shaping up as the greatest Round 1 blockbuster of the century and he will not be getting a single penny to cover his 8 million dollar (who wants to be a Millionaire) disaster.....

Ah you've go to love fathead ed.

i thought eddie was pretty good in what he said about cuz and richmond.
the "2nd,3rd,4th chance or whatever" comment wasn`t that bad actually,i don`t think he meant anything bad by it.
i don`t usually stick up for eddie but i think this time he was pretty respectful in what he said,he praised us for taking him and said everyone in the football world should get behind ben cousins now.

It's not yours, it belongs to the smart Iraqi who tested it on George W Bushlit.

Fair point.

It is a foreign custom that might just catch on, esp if we persist with this new Western custom of appointing populist dribbleheads to lead us.

A well aimed shoe to the forehead, whilst essentially harmless certainly let's even them know.

Next question is however, with all Collingwood's current woes, who will be blamed?

1) Global financial crisis - nothing we can do and we successfully minimized the damage

2) We are being hindered by the free kick interstate teams get over us, which means we cannot attract the kind of talent needed to challenge for the flag

3) If we did not have to subsidize poorer clubs under the socialist AFL system, we would be looking at back to back flags

4) Because we are a success we don't get the same help from the Government that teams like Richmond and Bulldogs get

5) It was all Rocca's fault, and he would have been fired if he hadn't quit to go to the Kangas

6) If we had the draw we deserve and appropriate TV coverage, we would earn the dollars and sponsorships we deserve

Apart from the fact there was no need to say it. It's what he always does, quickly throws in a negative comment before going on to praise his club etc. Getting really annoying and tiresome

7) We didnt get The Rudd Christmas Bonus
8) we didnt get the first home owners grant to build the Toyota Centre
9) we didnt get the baby bonus when both Christie Malthouse, and Nathan Buckley had their babies
10) WE DIDNT GET BEN COUSINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahh eddie eddie eddie. I knew you couldn't help yourself and not let me down ;D

No, not going to pot them but felt the need to mention them though didn't you?
Good to see your usual tactic isn't just used on the general public, but to your faithful. Throw in a quick jab to make everyone think of them before mentioning yourself. Smart, but getting tiresome.

"We've set ourselves to win a premiership inside three years," McGuire said.
