How good was that desperate spoil on Elliot at a crucial time in the match? Took a step forward yesterday. Excellent match by Dylan.
That was text book. Even drew a compliment from Matthews.

spent quite a bit of time on Elliot and did a pretty good job. i reckon he should be our go to 'small' back pocket. good matchup for Wingard this week imo.

On the wing, he was running blindly to spoil the opposition front-on, and he knew he was beat.

So he cannoned into his opponent, blatantly chopped the arms, and forced the ball to ground to slow up play.

Good professional free kick. Hardwick would be happy.
Yep. I thought exactly the same thing. Smart play. Grimesy is now getting into some form. Fingers crossed his body holds up.

50th game tomorrow in fact.
Some milestones mean more than others. Hard road for Dylan with all his injuries.
Fingers crossed they're behind him now.
Played well against the pies, hopefully plays well tomorrow too.

Some people thought when he pushed Trengove when on the ground that it was a dog act but I liked it.
The team needed to send a message early of it's intent and a bit of nasty was just what the doctor ordered.
We weren't to be pushed around.
Overall a pretty solid game again too.

Very happy to see my (almost) favourite tiger string a few good games in a row together. He has developed into a good small and tall defender. Just what we need.

Bit worried in the purity of modern footy he might get frowned upon by the officials. There's a fair touch of the nasty bugger in our Grimey Grub, when he's on his game he reads and kills the play really well n certainly doesn't mind pushing the line with a bit of agro niggle.
Started the year a tad patchy but he's certainly starting to influence the play from down back.

Agree TOO. I didn't mind it. Mind you I wonder how hurt Trengove really was.

Even Grimey was too tough for them, Oldster.

And phew. Grimes had both kinds of game today. He was *smile* awful a dozen times in the first half but then be Jesus he turned it around. He's pretty much exactly where he was a month before he did the big hammie. A regular *smile* up with fight, frenzy and enormous upside. This is a good thing.

One of his best games today....was tough and Rock solid all day...along with batchelor was our best defender

I liked it too. Get tough, Dylan.

How was the tut-tutting over the act by Mark "Little Dean Kemp is blind-sided and wide open, I think I'll kill him" Ricciuto?

Yep, the hypocrisy of the comments coming out of Ricciuto's mouth nearly made me damage my TV. Clearly Trengove did something to spark Grimes, unlike what Kemp did to Ricciuto.

About as rich as Matthews acting shocked at Plasma's whack on Big Cox last year

Some people's memory of 'dog acts' fade away over time.
