Bruns was a pretty dirty player, too. I'm betting there was some squirrel gripping going on there.

I never noticed that in Bruns much, but it's funny how the commentator mentions Mark Jackson as the instigator. Now that, I would believe.

Sidestep and perfectly weighted kick to advantage down the corridor.

That's Grub in full flight and I *smile* love seeing it.

Some people thought when he pushed Trengove when on the ground that it was a dog act but I liked it.
The team needed to send a message early of it's intent and a bit of nasty was just what the doctor ordered.
We weren't to be pushed around.
Overall a pretty solid game again too.

+ 1..

Set the tone for the day...few more tweaks of fwd line and this is bare minimum for game plan every game...

That was a spear. Tracer bullet.

The game is getting soft

Dylan Grimes can accept $1000, interfering with injured player Jackson Trengove.

Astonishingly the same fine as Jeremy Cameron for front on high contact.

Certainly been some massive changes to the game over the years.
Not surprised at all to see the Grub cop a fine. Ever since Rooey got beat up on by Brisvegas when he busted his collar bone, the AFL have been snakey on anyone manhandling a player who's down n struggling a bit.

Couldn't Grimes argue that he didn't know the opposition player was hurt? That kind of thing happens all the time.

Still a pretty one dimensional player.
Cutting him slack as he is only just getting desperately needed continuity after several years of injury interrupted seasons.
But needs to find a left foot quickly as turning back into trouble on his right is getting oh so predictable to the opposition.

If it is true that a player needs 50 games under the belt before really taking the "next step" then hopefully we can look forward to Dylan ( and Batch) blossoming this season onwards.

Good game last night, if he's under pressure, he doesn't panic, he just ducks and wins a free :rofl

The new Selwood.

Yeah, he's added that to his bag of tricks. Strangely it's not as annoying when our boys do it.

He's gotten good at that. Miles has too. I bet they learned it from Jake, he was the little master at it.

Certainly perfected the high tackle skill. Get's his arm lower than the tackling arm and just lifts it up for a free. +2 for last night.
