Dylan Grimes JDM

Man, we really don't need Grimes to follow the career path of our last mighty young gun defender, Willy Thursfield.

The problem with our defensive line is , it has too many forays in to it by the opposition. They the Tiger backmen , cannot repel all of them. Dimma has had five years to adjust this but he has not resolved the problem & never will. We have guns in Martin, Delidio & Martin but how often do they start in the centre bounce where it all counts. For example Tich appears to spend a lot of time there but he is not in the same class the GUN 3. I liked Thomas there as he got the hard ball get but not many Tiger diehards liked him. Ellis is not a centreman nor Vlaustin. They are backmen so leave them there. Newman is not a forward yet Dimma thought he was. Morris another example. Well tomorrow night we shall see what transpires with Dimma's menu. An after thought, so , with Morris's edicated attack on the ball maybe start him in the GUTS.

Surprise surprise Grimey out with a hammy. When did he do that ?. Maybe when he kicked that goal. Oh well saved selectors tossing the coin between him an our ancient warrior Newman.

Have always rated him... reads the ball well and can move when he needs to. Sure tests out that hammy of his!

I don't mind Grimes ,think he can play the negating role on the dangerous small/mid forward , however don't want Batchelor in the same back half attempting the same role ad Morris an that's not a lot of ball winning ability in the 22, play Grimes not the other 2

Agree totally. I don't rate Batchelor. Thought Grimes was good today, and his ball movement was also really good at times on top of defending well.

His form so far this season has been shocking in the main. So much so that I thought he should be dropped. But Grimey showed some very positive signs today.

I thought he was immense in the last. Has the agility to get to lots of contests and that was really important when the game was very tight late.

Finally starting to see some of that athletic Grimey Grub getting to the contest n just killing it. Had some immense intercepts when it looked like Colonwood was out n away.

On the wing, he was running blindly to spoil the opposition front-on, and he knew he was beat.

So he cannoned into his opponent, blatantly chopped the arms, and forced the ball to ground to slow up play.

Good professional free kick. Hardwick would be happy.
