Dylan Grimes JDM

I'm a fan. Bobbled a mark last week, apart from that a good game. Good size, quick, goes in, getting more and more attacking. Pretty surprised he seems to be a bit of a whipping boy actually, usually I can see why even if I don't always agree.

Yeah I don't get the knocks either.

The thing I like best about grub is his ability to skip around an opponent and deliver on the other side. He's got a magnificent little side step.

Dancing grubby.

Always liked him. As confidence builds, he'll contribute more. Remember that the coach has asked for him, Batch and flosstone to run and create more, to take pressure off Houli. It'll take a while for him to get used to this, but I think it will come in time. He's marked very harshly around here.

He was twenty (IIRC) when he tore that hammy off the bone and (until hopefully now) has not been right since. He's 23yo and has played 47 games.

I think it's unlikely that we'll be able to keep him sound and athletic but if we do I still think he can be anything. And ATM he is sound and his athleticism is back.

Grimesy was rusty but he recovered his composure. The whole team was a bit wonky aside from mcintosh. TBH we weren't great but still came from behind to beat Carlton comfortably in round 1. I'm tipping we'll improve.

I like that fact that he is actually trying to break the first line and get the ball central. Looks like he is running on top of the grass.

Amazed he only has 47 games. Fingers crossed he can stay sound.

I think running defenders is another area that we need to draft in.

Absolutely we do. We only have one ATM - Houli. It surprises me how opposition coaches don't place more emphasis on locking him down.

Has pace and can think his way out of a tight situation. An automatic selection for our backline

Absolutely agree. Imagine we had Leon Cameron on the other flank opposite Houli. or dare I say it, my arch nemesis....... Tivendale. Oh the vocal chords that were smashed because of that man. My larynx popped champagne corks the day he retired.

In fairness, I think Tivva suffered from being in a crap side and being one of the only real damaging players we had. Wasn't good enough to get away from any source of attention, but not many others around to take attention off him. In today's sides I think he'd have a bigger impact and be less of a lightning rod for supporter angst.

Now back to regular scheduled viewing - JESUS CHRIST TIVENDALE YOU SQUIB!!!!

When u say unscathed, do u mean by injury or by supporters ragging on him?

I only noticed one fumble from him last week, which unfortunately for him looked twice as bad as it did result in a Carlton goal. Otherwise he played a solid game and had clean hands. He may not be A grade but he is a solid B to B+ defender. Could make it to A grade, just needs to stay injury free.

I just watched the replay, overall he had a stinker!

Everything he touched in the first half went to poo.

Im a fan of Grimesey but after last weeks game i fear he might be falling off the pace.

If he did better in the second half then the trend is upwards blx
More than anything he looked rusty. Had cement hands early with the propped sitter and he fumbled a ball that Dusty? I think, kick from CHF to wing and it sat up perfectly. Other than those he looked ok, but building. He will be fine I reckon.
Seems to have really worked on being much more attacking this season which is great

I am of the opinion Dylan is the Zac Dawson of Tigerland. No one appreciates Zac's talent except Ross Lyons . Dylan might not appear to do much in a game but what he does is enough to earn his stripes week in week out. I do assume Dylan will prove his worth as long as he is in week in week out.

The coach should pin that to his locker, tigaman. An inspiring spray.

There was a time in the third quarter I think where he was in a foot race and gave some Carlton bloke wind burn.

He definitely hadn't lost any of his pace. Lightning quick for a med tall

We know he can run.

Put a Sherrin in his hands and cover your face! ;D

That was just cruel from tigaman, DDT. Not even a team mate would defame a player like that. :hihi
