Hussey a bit stiff to be given lbw but its dangerous not playing a shot.Smith's shot was disgraceful & gibbs kept low but he always seems to get bowled.Could be a short test.

I thought the Hussey decision was ok Mb. Left the ball, hit the back pad and was close enough to be given.

Bit too much angle on the delivery Tuby but I have no sympathy for batsmen leaving the ball that close to the stumps.Hawk eye suggested it would have missed.

Re: Cricket

Thanks TD.

Yeah, Tuby. I'm ok with the umpires disregarding a little bit of doubt if the batsman doesn't offer a shot. LBW's there to stop the players from just protecting the stumps with the body, and that's all your doing if you don't offer a shot.

Thanks for the info, mb.

Hussey LBW for 75.
I suppose his average will suffer for that. I had my fingers crossed for another N.O.

Great to hear Laeme Smith having a cry. He really needed to be put in his place.

Good onya guys. Keep the updates coming. :clap

Live averages
MEK Hussey 73.50

Interestingly he has only ever taken 1 catch in Test matches and in his 2 overs at test level has returned figures of 0/12. :thinking

Smith is a trash talkin' hack.  :rofl
He's pretty stupid really, he keeps making these statements and then looks like an idiot when he fails to back them up. McGrath and Warnie have got big mouths too, but they generally back it up.

Agree Tubs always out.

....and totally agree. Smith is a loud mouth dumbarse.

Re: Cricket

Tell ya what if Hussey was given for his LB then Kallis should of automatically walked for his LB against Lee. Disgraceful decision by the West Indian umpire imo. Bloody disgraceful   SA 63 for 2

Re: Cricket

Australia got 110 out of their last three wickets to post 369, with Hussey making 75.

Smith was out first ball and Gibbs not long after but at stumps the home side are 140/2 with Kallis on 72 and AB de Villiers on 48. Their cause helped by the bad light which meant Warne and Symonds had to bowl 22 of the 39 overs in the innings so far. (Think Ponting got sick of it and introduced Clark. Light promptly offered and accepted.)

Re: Cricket

Hussey even got to add to his test overs, which before yesterday stood at a grand total of 2.
He still hasn't taken a wicket at test level though. Get a move on Mike. :hihi

Didn't see that one Tub,I believe the 3rd umpire should make all the lb decisions.Too many inconsistentcies these days.

Re: Cricket

South Africa 3/192.Thought they might have been all out by now but Kallis doing a good job.Still reckon batting last on this track will be tough so Aussies still in box seat.

Re: Cricket

Warne struck twice to dismiss Prince and Rudolph and Lee and Clark have both struck with the second new ball. Clark took a caught and bowled to finally dismiss Kallis for 114. South Africa 257/7 replying to 369 halfway through day three.

Re: Cricket

Make that 8/259

All out for 269. The Aussies with a first innings lead of 102.

Re: Cricket

Geez that Andre Nel pisses me off. So good to hear Warney sledging him "Show some ticker you bloody soft c**k" when he dodged a Brett Lee bouncer. ;D

Re: Cricket

QLD 3/772 & may reach the 1,000 runs mark.Whilst they deserve their win the final has turned into a farce. Some restricitions should be in place to avoid this nonsense.

the way for this nonsense to stop is for the Vics to get some wickets MB
