Katich 50 off 80-90 balls when Gilly on 100- wow what a dynamic start to the innings.
Me thinks he was playing for his spot in the side again- i cant stand him he is a dud and offers not much apart from one good innigs every 8-10 and even then he is too slow at scoring.
I hate him get rid of this dud.

I don't like him much either Craig, but you've got to give him credit, he played a fantastic innings tonight. Whether that takes him to the world cup, we'll just have to wait and see.

Katich played solidly and I am glad he got his ton, in a final, in Australia.
Gilly was the show stopper, Kat just held up an end, exactly what you should do in that situation.

Agreed Feisty, anyone who's played the game would have have to admire the way he played last night. Intelligent batting which gave Gilly every opportunity to do what he needed to do, without trying to emulate him at the same time. Really, some of the morons around here need to find a new phrase rather than dud.

1 day squad announced for South Africa tour.Shane Watson & Mitch Johnson added to the 12 who played last night.Dory & Hopes left out & also amazingly Jacques.Selectors once again have not made tough decisions with Martin still in the side.Stuart Clark lucky also.

Hopes is stiff too I reckon. Not sure about Watson, seems to be in the Katich anointed category without the runs on the board.
Re Lewis, it was said in radio yesterday that Harwood is a superior bowler to Lewis.

An annoying thing I've noticed creeping into 9's telecast is the number of ads They aren't happy now to wait until the end of the over for ads. Now they do it after 3 balls into the over.Also when using 'hawkeye', you see ads/promos for their shows in the background. And last night, they actually had people in the crowd holding up signs promoting 9 programs
I only hope that because 9 have now lost the tv rights for the footy, they won't be going to ads during ballups, throw-ins etc
On a lighter note, I thought the line of the night went to Bill Lawry. During one of the trivia questions they throw in-
Bill- Which team holds the record for the highest ODI score?
Richie-India?
Bill- Sri Lanka (vs Kenya).............Dissapointing answer that Richie :rofl :rofl
