Re: Cricket
Richie was very cool as always, all he said was "Unless my eyes are failing me, that hit the ground first". Really think it's time for Greig to go.
Bit harsh on Jayawardene I think Gypsy....if you've played cricket before you'd know that sometimes you think you've taken a catch, but it has actually hit the ground first. I have no problems with him claiming the catch, the same as I have no problems with Punter standing his ground. Besides, a couple of overs later he went up to Ponting and apologised after hearing news from the Sri Lankan rooms that the reply showed that it had hit the ground.
Was listening to Patrick Smith on the way to work on SEN, this guy has seriously lost the plot. Said that Ponting, who has been crusading the policy that a batsman should walk if a fielder claims the catch (England, Sth Africa & Sri Lanka have refused to take up Ponting's offer), should have walked, even though he saw it bounce first. So walk even though you know you are not out?? Even KB came close to calling Smith a moron.

Maybe its time for you to go quietly back to England and retire finally. Your a tired commentator and to call it like that was a absolute joke even after you saw the replay.
My thoughts exactly, Tuby... what a *smile*ing disgrace that Tony Greig is... I would have liked Mark Nicholas in the commentary box... unbiased and etc.
Spewing on the Sri LAnkan who took the catch... bloody cheat!
