Still would drop Hayden or Langer to make way for a younger opener. How's Gilly going at the moment Evo?evo said:Tigers of Old said:Touche Mb ;Dmb64 said::roflTigers of Old said:McGrath's form this series would be a bigger worry to the selectors than MacGill.
Don'y worry ToO.If you scroll back through this thread to the Ashes series,mb wanted to drop Hayden and Gilly.

I've explained it to you before mb.All cricketers have slumps. The quality ones work through them, given the chance.Hayden and Gilly are quality cricketers of the highest order.mb64 said:Still would drop Hayden or Langer to make way for a younger opener. How's Gilly going at the moment Evo?evo said:Tigers of Old said:Touche Mb ;Dmb64 said::roflTigers of Old said:McGrath's form this series would be a bigger worry to the selectors than MacGill.

Yes i'm aware of the rule.It still has to be likely to hit the stumps. It pitched in that rough spot, which is 3 -4 feet from the line of the stumps, spun hard and hit him a good 12 inches outside the line of the stumps. It's impossible to predict whether that it will then go on to hit a relatively thin target in another 4 or 5 feets time IMO.Gypsy__Jazz said:evo said:Been saying it for years. Some of the LBW's decisions Warney gets are absolutely ludicrous. How on earth can that be given out.Does the umpire think he can predict the future.
Hey Evo,
Prince wasn't offering a shot... beacuse of this he loses the benefit of the doubt...
Terrible decision & Boucher also unlucky to be given out.evo said:Been saying it for years. Some of the LBW's decisions Warney gets are absolutely ludicrous. How on earth can that be given out.Does the umpire think he can predict the future.
Yes they are but they are both aging. With Gilchrist my suggestion was only to drop him for the last test of the ashes because of his poor batting form.I would continue to play Gilchrist & believe he will retire willingly when he knows he's had enough. With Hayden & Langer I feel one should go as neither are going to get better & I believe it is a good time to play Jacques.Hayden's recent form & Langer's injuries would suggest Langer is the one to go.evo said:I've explained it to you before mb.All cricketers have slumps.

Perhaps but I I seriously doubt it. Warne is a legend(unlike Wawick) and regardless of his off field behaviour, doors will always open up for him long after he retires. The ch9 commentary box beckons.TigerForce said:What Warwick Capper is now is what Warne will be in 15 years time.
Very Unusual that for Sth Africa to declare, probably the first time since Eddie Barlow played.mb64 said:South Africa declare 9/451.Good 1st innings puts them in the box seat but a draw looks a good chance.

Poor batting by Langer. After he got dropped,Hayden was out Langer decided to go for the 450 runs tonight.Cavalier batting that was not needed just before stumps.Poor form Justin.craig said:Just saw some footage of Smith giving it to Langer like a *smile*. I'd love to see him do it off the field Langer would punch the living suitcase outta him and Smiths teamates probably wouldnt back him up geeez he is a wanker.
