Cricket

Well Straya made a meal of that innings. All out 174. I expect NZ to get that easy on this toy ground.

Watched half an over of the Oz innings when Postman Pat had just wandered up to the crease. Couple of balls from the spinner went total sideways, a pitch that would have had an Indian spinner chubbin up.

I missed a bit of the match but I did have a chuckle when Zampa came on to bowl. One of the kiwi commentators said something along the lines of he’s the one the kiwis have to go after for runs. They need to smack him out of the ground. I assumed he meant he was the weak link in our bowling line up. A few balls later he’s taken consecutive wickets :ROFLMAO:

Bazball gets England to 5/112 at lunch on day 1. Proper cricket digs them out of the hole.

Yep. One of the best Test batsmen of our generation plays a regulation Test innings and gets 122 off 274 balls. Outwardly there will be solidarity but I would love be a fly on the wall for internal discussions between Root, Stokes and McCullum.

What about Bashir coming in after the big partnership between Root and Fwitson and trying to smash his second ball out of the ground? You're number 10, you've got Joe Root 122 not out at the other end, and you do that. Braindead.

Nah. Plenty of people can’t stand the Indian team and the crap that Indian cricket gets up to. They’re the real enemy nowadays. Not just for Australia, but the game itself.
i was going to say its like choosing who to go for if the Pies ever played the Bombers in a GF. Then i remembered theres no chance of that happening any time this decade, or probably next.

The Indian appealing has been over the top lately. I guess they are allowed to do whatever they want though.
The Indians are a law unto themselves in cricket now. The pissweak ICC bows to the threats and $ pressure they bring.

Have you seen this pitch they’ve prepared ? It was an outstanding effort for Root and England to get that first innings score. The ball from Jadeja that got Stokes out bounced about 2 inches high. Impossible to play.

Yes I thought the test would be lucky to go 3 days.
England 5-112 at lunch. I can see it being allover on the third day if not before. The ball is keeping lower than a politician.

What a joke NSW's new cricket ground, "Cricket Central" is. There's no seating, and someone will get bitten by a Tiger snake while looking for the ball when a six has been hit.

Foakes batted well but he seems a pretty well structured traditional batsman. That's just the way they play.

Robinson played some pretty loose shots, swinging wildly. He got away with it early, if he went early in his innings they probably get 250.

There is probably a better balance to how they play but I love watching the tests they are involved in.

Hopefully they win this one and we have a 5th test decider.

Yeh, the rubbish they generally serve up as test pitches is just the start.

Been a terrific series, need the Poms to make it 2-2.

Yet they can prepare fast, bouncy one day tracks?

Hard not to consider them as an unsophisticated 3rd world backwater when they treat the game with contempt like that.
