He he he, more Pommy hypocrisy from 10 years ago when rain saved them in the Manchester test and it was a draw and they retained the Ashes:

So they are just like us?
OK guys, enough of the Pom bashing. Stokes has declared that no one understands the game as well as he and his team do.

"To be honest, anybody that was going to question the declaration in this game, probably doesn't understand the game as well as we do. We've had three hours of cricket in two days, whatever we did we wouldn’t have been able to force a result because of the weather. It is what it is."

He's right though isn't he? Not often you have nearly 2 days lost to rain. And even if they declared earlier unlikely to have changed anything. Poms getting damned either way, declaring too early and too late.

It's a shame for us Lyon was injured and this test result has been impacted by weather, it had the makings of an all-time classic series. At least there is a bit of animosity between the sides so the 5th test should still be hard fought despite the ashes being decided.

Saw a tweet, in jest, that it would have been better if it washed out with 9 down, which is a bit evil, but funny.

As I said in an earlier post, it's not the 1st time rain has decided an Ashes series & it certainly won't be the last.

The English should just shut up & accept the fact that they're on the wrong side of it this time.
It has certainly happened the other way (in their favor) before.

SHUT UP & STOP WHINGEING. YOU'RE COMING ACROSS AS A BUNCH OF VERY POOR LOSERS.

I wonder how they feel about the World Cup that they TIED with New Zealand. That one should have a * next to it. No moaning about rule changes there.

If I follow...
England are the better side. Miles better. 4-0 moral winners. Better bowlers. Better batsmen.

So if that's the case...

Did Bazball cost them the Ashes?

We can only speculate of course, IMO it narrowed the gap. Emboldened them and psyched us out at times. So no.

Poor poms. They seem to be under the impression that in a 5 test series, only the last 3 tests count. That’s the only conclusion I can come to from hearing how they’ve dominated us this series but also being 2-0 down

Thats 792 runs @ 25 (Which is boosted by the 200 v SA which without that brings his average to 19.7). But I have little doubt he,ll be picked for the next test. “We feel a big score isnt far away for Davey, he’s just had a bit of bad luck, he’s been hitting them wonderfully in the nets”.
oh so predictable, Andrew McDonald on Warner:

Neser and Murphy should come in for Green and Hazlewood. We saw the folly of not playing a specialist spinner, and on these dead pitches you need swing bowlers - Cummins, Hazle and Green are all hit the deck types.

I’m very confident we would have made over 500 runs in the last innings if it wasn’t for the proxy rain.
Bloody draw, we was robbed.
