Cricket

So Joe Root reckons you can play until 10.00 pm in England? Great! The 30-hour Test match could become a three 10-hour day affair. Cricket's crammed schedule fixed. Thanks, Joe!
But surely that is not within the spirit of the game!

Psychology is a powerful force in sport.

With the Ashes retained, I expect roles to be reversed for the fifth test.

Watch for us to play with absolute freedom, putting the Poms to the sword.

Can’t wait for the Aussies to finish what they couldn’t in 2019.

Poor poms. Poor whinging hypocritical poms. Maybe if they stopped whining I would have some sympathy for them.
But *smile* em. The ashes are still ours :):cupgold
And there is no shame in not beating the world test champs

What is wrong with it is they pick and choose. Weather intervenes in cricket, it happens.
Sometimes they will benefit ( 4th test of the last ashes series) and sometimes it is their opponents who benefit.
Just because it happens to them now somehow it is unique and unjust. Somehow it requires a change in the rules
Ah but rules are for other people.

It’s almost a given that you will lose at least one test to weather in a 5 test series in England.

Lee was an idiot there. Bowled big no balls and bouncers. Should have just bowled normally.
Not the first time he was a moron. Recall he broke Warnie's hand with a beamer.

India - an ageing side past their best playing in a foreign country. Hardly a first class opponent.

There are plenty of expert commentators questioning many aspects of Cummins captaincy. Both local and international commentators. It's really not a job for your No.1 fast bowler.
You can only beat the opponent that you are versing competing against in the ultimate Final in any sport. To denigrate the winner by saying their competitor wasn’t worthy is like when people say “oh, Richmond only beat GWS in 2019, that doesn’t count.”

Well said and Broad has form, ie. his statements on the 21/22 series win not counting. He's a serial whinger when things don't go Englands way.

exactly. If the shoe was one the other foot, our players wouldn't be publicly whinging and going off half-cocked, us fans would, but not the players and staff. Its been very undignified, the level of whinging over the Bairstow wicket and now the rain. You expect it from Fleet Street and fair enough, but the players is crazy.

Saw a good stat responding to Cummins sacking calls, leaving England with the Ashes, something Ponting or Clarke never did.
