Cricket

Test cricket is *smile* with its limitations on when they play Red.

Funny fact they spent more time off the ground yesterday when it wasn't raining than when it was.

That and slow over rates are the biggest blight on the Test game.
And dead drop in wickets.

Green tops and raging turners and hooping bouncy decks made for TEST Cricket.

I need to know what happened to this horse. Or are you saying because Nobets loaded up on it, it was always destined to fail ?
I'm asking if you're saying it.

Broad getting up to near the 140 kph mark, why can't he bowl that pace all the time instead of low 130's.
Because it's *smile* hard work. Takes a lot of effort to get up there for brief periods, let alone sustained.

I know Green is a long term prospect but he’s got a serious deficiency with his bating around off stump.

His last 5 innings he’s scored 0, 2, 33*, 17 and 5.

It’s a very high possibility.

We need him to take Richmond-the field for the 2022 Premiership.

Hope Uzzie gets runs, classy player who's been harshly treated over time.
He's doing well. But is it long term thinking?
He's 35 and we are 3-0.
We play a younger fella to help build their experience and transition to the next generation.
It might mean we would struggle in this test. I'd cope that if our #5 was under 30

Its no offence to Khawaja.
Brad Hodge also missed out. At least Khawaja isn't a Victorian to be shafted

Agree with you on Leach, Root is a better spin bowler than Leach.

I don't know if its because Root is captain, but if there are other spinners he always bowls them 1st. He's actually very good against lefties (not so good to right handers). Leach sucks to lefties, so we get 2 lefties at the crease and Leach comes on but not Root. For some reason, even though he could be really good option for us he chooses not to select himself, maybe he is concerned with people thinking for Root its all about him and not the team.

We are just going to waste the new ball having Leach bowl with the new ball, but without an attacking field trying to take advantage of the variable bounce on offer.

The Ashes series so far

Leach 45 overs, 2 maidens, 2 for 196 at a run rate of 4.35
Root 33 overs, 3 maidens, 4 for 133 at a run rate of 4.03
Malan 8 overs, 0 maidens, 2 for 39 at a run rate of 4.87

Why are we bowling Leach??

Oh look what happens when you float one up there on a decent length to have a shot at it. Leach is so pre-occupied in his economy rate that he doesn't even seem to be looking to take a wicket. How can you seriously pick a bowler who isn't actually trying to take a wicket?? Baffling.

Turns on cricket and just saw Carey's dismissal to Root,

Can someone tap the lad on the shoulder and tell him that he aint playing BBL.

Turns cricket off.

Kerry O'Keefe just showed the issue today.

Root averages 29 against lefties, 61 against righties.
Leach is basically the opposite

2 lefties were at the crease and we chose Leach to bowl. Dumb decisions.

:mhihi How much more can Poshy take.

Looks like Cummins wants to get Australia to 350+ quickly and then declare at bowl at England tonight.

Hahaha Cummins booed at the SCG

Nice 100 by Khawaja, has always seemed like a very likeable bloke, so good on him.

You'd have a point if there were any young batsmen making a claim. Head was preferred because he's younger, despite Uzzy being a better player. Pucovski would be in, but...

Who else is there?
