Chris Silverwood reported to be on $900k pa for coaching England. o_O:LOL:o_O
I dare say Punter could name his own price

Far out. $900k / annum and he delivers the crap that he does. The most concerning thing for me with Silverwood is his rhetoric. After the 1st 2 tests (where both sides were criticised rightly so) he claimed they would have picked the same side if they did the test over, and was claiming positives out of the 3rd test. Make no mistake these 3 tests whilst not going down as such, but were all innings defeats. If you cannot see what the problems are, then IMO you are part of the problem not the solution. I'd open my arms as wide as they can go if Punter took over as coach.

I reckon the commentary discussion from earlier needs to have the context of poor old Binga trying to do play by play tonight.

Certainly gives you a greater appreciation of just about anyone else in that role.
Sorry, TBR you've lost me. Can you clarify what you're on about? I must have missed something.

SA bowling is good esp Rabada and Ngidi gee just watched um get India out for 197. However, their batting is average. They need to get 305 to win . Can't see SA winning ..
Find the SA commentators very laid back compared to Australia . Kass Naidoo is probably the best of them .
SA's best batsman appears to be playing for NZ

Damb that brings back some great memories. What a great one day player. Averaged over 53 in 232 games  That innings is mentioned below.

"One of his most famous "anchor" innings was in the New Year's Day One Day International at the Sydney Cricket Ground against the West Indies in 1996. With the Australians at one stage 6/38 chasing 173, his unbeaten 150-minute 78 got the Australians over the line with a four on the last ball of the innings. By the end of his ODI career, Bevan was known as the "Pyjama Picasso".

And the 2003 World Cup we won with him saving us from elimination a couple of times.

"In the final group game against England, he came in with Australia struggling at 48–4. He was then joined by Andy Bichel at 135–8 with 70 runs still required to win. Bevan finished on 74 not out and Bichel 34 not out as Australia won in the final over."

"An unbeaten group stage was followed by an unbeaten Super Six stage. He made 56 against New Zealand helping Australia recover from 84–7 again batting with Bichel to help Australia win."

Bloody hell

Another sporting organisation that should be under scrutiny for effectively condoning statutory rape by those in authority. Mind boggling really that they allowed someones life to be completely destroyed and swept it all under a rug. Those in charge at the time should face charges. And even now CA is seemingly trying to keep it under the rug.

Wow !! Thanks for posting.

Another coverup.

This is typical of too many sporting, educational and religious organisations who are more concerned about their reputations than the the welfare of the people under their care.

Australia's version of American gymnastics abusers. AFL have signed up for that National Redress Scheme but no Cricket Australia, even Woodville-West Torrens and Football Tasmania, AFL Queensland, but no Cricket Australia. Hmmmm.

Or the AFLM for that matter.

We may well see huge chunks of teams being replaced by top ups at various stages. We might be 10-2 and then be forced to field a side coached by Gary Ayres and Captained by Jake Townsend.
U left out and Balta at Full-Forward........Patrick ;)
