Only one I'd keep is Batchelor but if we can get say Litherland from the Hawks as a delisted free agent then no position for him. Wouldn't mind if he stayed.

With Caddy and Prestia coming in also Conca recommitting leaves no spot for Butler Moore or Lambert apart from depth may as well try kids.

Personally don't think we will upgrade George at the moment. Short is a certainty to be drafted.

I reckon we will draft 3 players in the ND plus Short. We can go in with 1 less on the main list if we want (salary cap depending) as I think we had 39 on the main list last year so potentially all 4 will go. I suspect at least 3 of the 4 are gone. Moore should be a certainty, Batchelor probably too, then its flip of the coin on Lambert / Butler IMO. Reckon we might keep Butler though if I was going to stick my neck out.

if thats how it compares and we are looking at a KPF and KPD next year (to replace chaplin to "play on the gorilas"), dare i say it, a 2 year extension for a coach is not enough. Far better to have moved Hardwick on this year and give a new coach 3 years to develop the incoming bookends.

Every way you look at the Hardwick appointment it stinks. It will make sense (not necessarily be the correct decision though) if he gets a further 2 years after this contract. But if he is not performing this year and/or next and still gets an extension, the place will go into liquidation. Or be set alight.

And i dont see this being a McCartney/Bevo scenario where McCartney did all the development. Hardwick has developed squat in 7 years.
