Contract List

I disagree with that it's the next tear that need to step up and give us the improvement Rioli , Ross ,Sonsie , Cumberland, Balta , Clarke Gibcus, etc.
No I don't see that sort of improvement getting us to a premiership with our older guys missing. Midfield is sorted but we're only a chance if our classiest players (who happen to be the older guys) play decent parts of the season. Certainly 2-3 years down the track our success is going to rely on the improvement of those players you mentioned. They'll have to as we have no picks for the next couple of years.

Presently we have 40 all up on list

36 on main - (assuming Marlion to be upgraded) 3* Cat A & 1 Cat B

What are we thinking for rookie draft tomorrow ?

With 3 Cat A rookie spots left, I think we will take either 1 or 2 picks depending on who is left and if we like them. Then we invite a number of players for pre-season training to try their luck for that last 1 or 2 spots. I'm not sure we pick a tall tomorrow. I reckon we might invite a few down to train with us. Maybe invite a couple like Broadbent, Petric, Northam down.

I'd be stoked if Szyb is still there at our 1st pick. Another mid would be useful to develop in the 2's. Maybe D'Aloia as a rookie, or Clohesy (or can Geelong prelist him as an NGA?)

Back to pick 12 tomorrow, maybe earlier if a couple of clubs pass, hopefully snag a good one there
