Changes v Roos

Come on guys, one week at a time, within these four walls, were just have to follow the process, its in our own hands :)

:p

We have had some really good winning streaks in the last 12 months, how awesome would it be if Richmond was at the top of the dais at the end of it all in 2015. Not just winning some good road trips and defeating the Hawks, but to get on roll that would give this club and its fans premiership glory. It might not happen this year but the WINDOW of opportunity is there for the taking.

North's list has a lot of star power over 29 years.
Waite Harvey Petrie firrito Dal santo wells etc...
Surely we run past these guys?

Still waiting for someone to catch/run with the old man.... Harvey... what is her 37, and still sprints past our players.

If they tackle to hard might break his hip got to be gentle with old people.

North rested 4 players last year before the finals. Todd Goldstein, Lindsay Thomas, Luke McDonald and Michael Firrito, -
In the finals they then went on to beat Essendon (EF) , over running them in the second half,
Beating Geelong (SF) off by a goal
Got smashed by Sydney the PF

expecting them to rest a few players again.
give credit to Scott, not a bad operator when it comes to finals.

It's smart to rest players. There was an article on the AFL site yesterday about how we had played the most players without missing a game. Also played the most players over a certain amount of minutes by a fair way compared to the rest of the 8. So if we fatigue in finals I will not be surprised and questions will be asked. Another consequence could be the rumored best performed depth players who aren't happy - McBean, Lennon, McDonough, Dea, etc.

Yeah, but Essendon and Geelong were imposters in the eight last year.

Yeah, the Roos got a dream draw. Imagine if we'd drawn the Bombers and the Cats rather than Port over there. We may already have had that finals win.

What rumours? You mean the speculation on here? I'll take that with a grain of less than salt. Its speculation nothing more.

To win this game we have to contain Harvey from running amuck, Golstein from dominating the ruck and Petrie from marking everything that comes his way up forward. Do that and we should win.

North chairman (whatever that is) james Bradshaw has confirmed to MMM radio that they want to rest players

Our club has at least enquired with the AFL as to where it stands because our game is slightly different,” JB said.

“We play Richmond obviously ... and that can potentially influence other spots on the ladder.

“There is an integrity ruling around the finals and a game’s ability to affect the finals.

“With us it’s more we’ve had three or four blokes who have been battling to get up, two six-day breaks in a row, ideally you’d love to give them a spell so that they’re going to be right for the next week.

“We just want to make sure that if we make changes to give blokes a spell that the AFL aren’t going to turn around and go, ‘Hang on a minute, you’re influencing a result’.”

The Knob can say what he likes. I'm not intimidated. We shouldn't feel intimidated with them speculating they will be resting players.

We should rest any of our players too that need the rest or may further aggravate any existing injury because we do not want them carrying it into the finals.

North on the MCG or Adelaide over there, we will win.

This week's results mean nothing. As long as we don't sustain any injuries on Friday night. We'll be right.

Freo also queried whether they would be permitted to rest players.

AFL said OK.

Question is, what is the AFL's reply to North?

When we smash a 2nd string Nth team and if the AFL decides they are breaking the integrity ruling, we might have the EF against Port, GWS or Geelong at the G.

if they are thinking like that, you'd have to presume if said players are not allowed to rest, they'll be mentally resting on the day when playing saving themselves for next wk. i can't see us losing this wk
