Changes v Mutts

Anyone else starting to question X's cognitive ability based on his insightless player summaries?

No. What guide is a mixed team scratch match?

Naish a perfect example of the dangers of expecting form at a completely different level to translate.

Stack is proven AFL quality and needs to be persisted with. He has so many afl traits. Another who appears to have those traits is Dow. He’s the one I would be playing.

Ross gets talked up a lot but he looks like a good VFL player to me and limited at the top level.

Cotch Stack and Dow in for me.

This is maybe a bit out of left field but hear me out.
I think our two big issues are our tall forwards and centre clearances. Jack and Tom only played a few games together last year (admittedly it worked) but it isn't now! We are just bombing the ball to a big pack and usually near the boundary line - our smalls are down in form but largely through lack of opportunity. I have rarely seen George, Rioli, Higgins hit up for a forward 50 pass - this was common place last season.
Possible solution - our wings are hardly killing it and we need elite kicks coming in to forward line. Let's throw Jack and Stack into the rotation. Jack is a good kick going into forward 50, as is Stack.
The Bulldogs ruck is a bean pole and Witts certainly had the better of him after he was BOG the week before against the Bombers lesser ruck division. Soldo needs to crash into him. I did like some of Soldo's palming work last week - he is definetly improving and doing well for a young ruck (in games).

Ins: Stack, Cotchin,
Outs: Graham, Naish

The idea is to get Chol, Jack, Stack and Rioli to play higher, KMac, Stack can play more of the defensive winger role, Jack and Chol kicking the ball inside 50. We need smalls to get out of Lynch's way. Don't recall one lead last week!

Assuming Astbury still unavailable.

PS: Can we charter a flight for Edwards?
With a lot opposition sides flooding our forward line we need to change things up a bit thats for sure.
I think with your idea, we would need another leading forward. I wouldn't mind seeing Markov given a few games forward, with his pace he would be a dangerous proposition.

Markov is an inform VFL player at best, not an out of form AFL.
Has continually failed at senior level due to ball handling issues. As in he can’t pick the ball up.
Delist. Unfortunately

We have got to get some players who can lower the eyes and hit some targets inside 50. We could have had the Duck Carey and Tony Lockett in their prime and they would have struggled with the long slow high balls inside 50. Some of them would have hit the roof at Docklands. Just no system to it at all.

Yes he has never really grabbed his opportunity, his Jaidyn Stephenson type pace is just what we need.

Their midfield will SMASH us.
Not including that boney dud ruckman.
Bomptmytelly, Mcrea, Smith and West.
Good luck stopping them

Libba is averaging 5 clearances a game to your dud mate English.

Ring the club and tell them to start rebuilding.
Scotty Homewood part 2
Tly Esler part 2.
English is crap. One good hit, game over.
Bring back Andy Goodwin

West ???
After winning their last 2 games, are you expecting the Dogs to rush West back into the side after they dropped him a couple of weeks ago.

Agree with most part but you are underselling Ross. His impact last year was up there with what Stack produced. It’s just a shame they tried to turn him into a skinny half back flanker.

Marvel & Metricon ground stats about the same so just got to for guys who can stand up in a tackle. If Astbury comes in I would move Balta to a wing. A brute & quick. Out Naish. Cotch in out Egg.
