Changes V Brisbane

You make some valid points but you just know Pickett comes in. It's a tough one as much as I think MRJ should stay in, he or Juddy make way. Hopper, I would start at half-forward. Sure it wouldn't hurt for one game back in the ressies but I think the match committee will put him straight back in.

Ralphsmith needs a full game and no doubt he will go back to the ressies.

Ryan, I rate highly but he may go out due to injury. Also, miller can't go out after that performance, played a very good game.

It could well be Pickett and Hopper in (I expect Cumberland will play a full game in the ressies) and Juddy and Ryan out.

Good to see more players coming back, adds to our depth. Players competing for spots.

It is all about winning but getting games into young players who are fit and continue to show promise and improve, (as these two have), comes a very close second.

Clarke and Ryan to hold their places.

Agree we need to blood the real promising youngsters but whilst we are improving and now in with a chance of finals footy we must keep the tried and tested providing they are on form and only bring in a kid who shows his form warrants a place over an incumbent who has a drop off and not play them to see how they go in the big league. Re Ryan, the club have been quiet on his injury so he is probably a doubtful after the bye.

Did you say you have to be positive.

Only 1 team has won coming off the bye. And that was the Saints who defeated Sydney whom were also coming off the bye.

I cant understand why they need to span the bye's over 4 weeks. It should be 2 weeks max.
Well one of them was going to win it!

Ryan probably out for at least 2 injured.

I’m really looking forward to what Hopper brings when he comes back. He has seen his mate killing it and I hope he wants to follow.
His form pre injury was pretty good, not stellar, but I suspect he is capable of much more.

Not in your corner on this Sin.

Interesting to see how Mini integrates Hopper back into the team.

It didn't really work early in the year i.e. pushing Chimp forward to give Hopper his midfield minutes.

Our mix with Hoppers midfield minutes going to Chimp, Shai, Dusty and Meatball has seen our midfield look easily the best it has all year.

ILO Hopper isn't at the level of any of those four (plus Taranto and that is no shame) and doesn't offer a point of difference, so we lose out taking time away from them.

He also can't play another role die to his lack of leg speed. Interesting how we play it.

Will add though - we will need him in there and will be crucial once Chimp and then Meatball depart.

Nah, don’t agree. You are seriously under rating Hopper just as some underrated Taranto earlier in the year.

But as you say as much as I love Cotchin he is not the future. Hopper is

To maximise the television audience, or to minimise the disruption.

Will be interesting to see how we "come up" after the bye. Not many team's winning after the bye plus we have a road trip to the Gabba. Would be a massive feather in Minnie's cap if he pulls this one off.

I reckon our guys would fancy themselves against the Bears in Queensland. There is some unfinished business with the win last year (that we lost) Still waiting on that vision from the bunker

The future is on the gabba next thursday.

Im with leysy - i rate tarranto and hopper highly,

But not so much concurrently.

Our clearances and TT's stock have gone up significantly under
Mini, because tarranto is augmented by our champs.

Its a tough one. Maybe TT and JH tag into the guts off a HFF?

Alternately, tag Neale with JH

Ffs, tag neale

When i bought tix a few weeks back, i thought

'Jeez, im not to keen to sit in the gabba on a cold thirsday night watching us lose with 30,000 queenslanders in ringers western polos drinking bundy, booing dusty, while the umps reem us'

Now i think well beat these *smile*, and i cant wait to sing tigerland flipping double birds

I think there is plenty of room for Prestia, Taranto, hopper, Bolton, Cotchin and Martin to all spend time on the ball and at clearance.
I reckon Fridge is the one who is potentially on the outer, unless we have him manacled to Neale. But that isn’t the Tiger way, we say to him “do your best and we will do better” but the problem is he has killed us in recent times, especially out of the centre.
Neale worries me but that is the next match. For the rest of the season I reckon let’s rotate the big 6 through the midfield.

last time in the last quarter during our last final, didn't Pickett go to him?

dunno about bringing Hopper straight back in ...

unless, as Ezy says, it's to tag Neale ...

Our team wasn’t functioning with Cotchin and Martin in the forward line together with a slowing JR8 but let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water. We’ve looked better as a team with them playing in the middle but Hopper was more than serviceable and in the best players on the ground in quite a few games. We’re a better team with him in than out, it’s just placing the chess pieces in the right places.
Must come in as part of our rotations

So this. You don’t leave players like Hopper out of the team.

Time for mini to show us his point of difference than Hardwick.

Hardwicks approach with Cotchin and Martin was an epic failure.
