My reasoning is team balance.

It's a fair point young fella.

Maybe Hopper takes Ross' role on the wing and the midfield (and forward line) largely keeps it's status quo.

I cant see Hopper covering the wing for 120mins like Ross or Macintosh do.

Team balance for me is dropping one of Miller or Samson. Pickett to play that hybrid tall forward. No different to how we set up against Freo.

The other unlucky player to be either MRJ or Clarke.

I reckon Clarke is a great prospect,

that isn't ready.

and we've pivoted from 'play the kids'

to 'win the *smile* flag' in the last fortnight

Ryan hasn't yet got the bulk to disrupt the likes of Andrews so it would have to be Miller but has he the self confidence to go with his size to do the job?

I highly doubt it and I also highly doubt that any other Vic team has back2back Marvel games (meaning non-tenant) plus back2back Thurs night games.
You don't see the filth AKA pies get shafted in the fixture, they get looked after big time.

Clarke's dropped off a bit and Rioli was underdone, but I can't see us debuting two players against Brisbane at the Gabba in a big game for us.
