MJ out Coulthard in
Hopper in Hugo out , doubts both those outs make the grade

Wont Happen and probably shouldn’t all things considered, however imho Banks will be a better player/ Wingman then Ross and I believe with continued games for the rest of the season he’ll be a better option come September

Not sure what we do if Ryan is out

If we debut Banks I certainly hope it's not as the sub. Debutants should get a full game and subbed off if necessary.

Not sure where he fits in other than for Ross, who was solid again on Saturday night. Perhaps Ross moves to half forward and Banks to the wing.

Ross has some very good traits but Banks looks to be better skilled.

I wouldn't mess with Ross' role or place in the side, he is starting to build some confidence and play some good footy, despite the couple of critical errors on the weekend.

Think AFL is his level.

With Hopper and Marlion to come back, and one of MRJ/Mansell we are one Thomas Lynch away from our best possible side.

I can see HRS making way. Good position to be in for the run home after the bye.

Becoming harder to squeeze everyone in and also not mess with team balances and roles the current team are doing well.

Good problems. When you feel like you lose and gain something with a swap - it is pretty interesting.

For me

2nd forward - Pickett for Ryan - losing on ruckwork and forward line presence / gaining on pressure and tank.
Small forward -- Cumberland (in form) for Rioli would be my preferred but not there yet - and cumbo wasn't been in form with his goal kicking accuracy. Coulthard is unproven - but seems a lot cleaner than rioli - but he just wouldn't have a tank and be a liability in second half. mansell gets this role again when his suspsension is over. Probably our weakest position on the ground with no obvious replacement - what we wouldn't give to have Butler back.
Wing/midfield/flank - Hopper for Clarke / Carke for RS makes sense - who loses time in the middle of the ground? probably some combo of cotchin / martin but does that make us better? not sure Hopper has another role however.

Coulthard has been playing up the gps numbers in the VFL. Think he has a tank.

Based on the Saints game Ben Miller looks like he has finally arrived and will slot into back up ruck / forward

I haven't seen Banks play but as he has been an emergency these past few weeks he must be close and look forward to seeing what he has but right now, for me, Ross has started to show some good work in recent games and ignoring a couple of brain fades is starting to look AFL quality. Will never be a star but we need the blue collar workers like him to support the stars

Coulthard will play this season if he keeps it up in the 2's. He fills a big need, and was drafted as such.

Reckon a bloke called Pickett will be back for the Bears at the least.
