Changes V Brisbane

Hope Samson plays.
Would have good local knowledge and experience, having come through the Brisbane academy.
Sambo right now is one of our most important players structurally.

Can kick a goal and take a grab, but is also handy in the ruck as he develops.

He's keeping the structure until or should I say If Lynch actually makes it back this season.

With Miller chopping out Nank he's helping keep a defender away from Jack.

If I was selecting, god help us all, I would wait to see the weather forecast. Fine and sunny he is in, wet and windy he is out.

I think there is plenty of room for Prestia, Taranto, hopper, Bolton, Cotchin and Martin to all spend time on the ball and at clearance.
I reckon Fridge is the one who is potentially on the outer, unless we have him manacled to Neale. But that isn’t the Tiger way, we say to him “do your best and we will do better” but the problem is he has killed us in recent times, especially out of the centre.
Neale worries me but that is the next match. For the rest of the season I reckon let’s rotate the big 6 through the midfield.

Don't reckon it is as easy as you (and others suggest).

Here are our Centre bounce attendees by % against St Kilda.

Nank 92%
Taranto 81%
Chimp 70%
Shai 63%
Meatball 59%
Dusty 22%
Samson 7%
Bakes 3%
Graham 0%

Chimp has only averaged 25% for the year. Well down on last week and we've seen the positive impact it's had on us.

With wing not available and us bringing a guy in that can only play pure mid, it will reduce the above %'s. When they are all gelling.

But more importantly who of the above do you reduce and then where do you then play them?

Don't think it is as easy as most people think. Big (good) challenge for Mini.

On the ball and at clearance is more than centre bounce

If I recall correctly, we were last for centre bounce clearances before Hopper went down with injury. The set-up hardwick went with was tarranto, Hopper and Prestia.

A combination which was too slow and which lacks explosiveness.

And left-sidedness. Amplified when Nank was out. Chimp can go left, which compensates for lack of burst. Shai is so slipppery he can go any way.

x 2.
Jnr was awesome last time we played them in the elimination final. Needs continuity.

In Hopper, Pickett
Out Ross, Ralphsmith
I like this also. Against st kilda MJ created that urgency & pressure. His pace in our forward line is a must. Ross as sub

yeah, I mean although Soldo was mostly out injured as well, no surprise clearances have improved markedly since Nank returned.

I'm a fan of Nank in case you hadn't noticed

Was i the only one to not realise

That the first thing Mini did, as soon as dimma left the building,

Was throw Lambert the midfield keys?

And suddenly tarranto is brownlow favourite and were a well oiled clearance machine :clap2

Kane lambert is the next fly Macrae. We should give him a 10 year contract straight up

Actually, macraes probably been parasitising Kanes IP for 10 years

Definately. It gives a decent guide who's spending time through there though.

Especially as our guys don't roll through the wings like a lot of other clubs.

I reckon Clarke is a great prospect,

that isn't ready.

and we've pivoted from 'play the kids'

to 'win the *smile* flag' in the last fortnight
