Changes V Brisbane

In: marlion, hopper, coaltrain

Out: hugo, mrj, (1 of young, miller, ross)

Thought Miller played his best game and don't think we need Nank, Ryan and Miller in team (feel a bit sorry for Ryan as he has played in an incredibly high proportion of wet games in his short career). The ankle injury is an opportunity to give him a break.

Hopper and Pickett are auto INS imho. OUTS Ryan, MRJ & Hugo

PS: Cannot for the life of me understand the hate for McIntosh on here by some - such an important player for us and I am pretty sure he is no where near being ommitted!
PPS: Yes, Ross made a couple of bad clangers (so did Wilkie). He is getting better with continuity and we need to keep playing him!

Out: Ryan (inj), Ralphsmith
In: Soldo, Pickett.

Soldo 2nd ruck, Miller to play key forward. Pickett to replace Hugo as sub.

I thought Moz was okaaaaay, but needs to find a bit more of it. Is Coulthard anywhere near ready?
Probably needs a bit more time learning the systems I reckon if hes playing consistent footy in the twos we will see him not before too long to be honest, maybe the fixtures against the hawks, Eagles and Kangas might be opportunities to look at him.

It's pretty funny that everyone is suddenly urgently and excitedly discussing ins and outs (when we have the bye this week lol) for the Brissy game. Some here had us dead and buried six weeks ago and couldn't look forward to next week, they were dead set eyeing who we needed to delist and go after in the draft or free agency.

The season is alive (thank you Dimma for giving the team room to breathe). You ain't dead til you draw your last breath. Maybe some here need to remember that next time. There's been a fair bit of scorched earth policy, and yet, here we are, in the mix with a bit of luck.

Out- Ross for 2 unbelievable clangers that resulted in opposition goals
MJ needs to find form in the VFL
In- Cumbo or Coulthard for small forward role
Pickett wing h/f
1 very bad one for sure but overall was good. Similar game to Kmac I'd say who had 5 turnovers.

Crickey - if you think the last few months on here were bad, you haven’t really experienced PRE in all its glory.

When your iPhone melts in your hand from scrolling through posts, when your iPad starts smoking from posters postering about dud trades, when your computers hard drive cracks it from overload ………then your scorched earth policy comes into being.

For goodness sake, PRE over the last 6 weeks could be read aloud to children in day care and there wouldn’t be an outcry…….

Becoming harder to squeeze everyone in and also not mess with team balances and roles the current team are doing well.

Good problems. When you feel like you lose and gain something with a swap - it is pretty interesting.

For me

2nd forward - Pickett for Ryan - losing on ruckwork and forward line presence / gaining on pressure and tank.
Small forward -- Cumberland (in form) for Rioli would be my preferred but not there yet - and cumbo wasn't been in form with his goal kicking accuracy. Coulthard is unproven - but seems a lot cleaner than rioli - but he just wouldn't have a tank and be a liability in second half. mansell gets this role again when his suspsension is over. Probably our weakest position on the ground with no obvious replacement - what we wouldn't give to have Butler back.
Wing/midfield/flank - Hopper for Clarke / Carke for RS makes sense - who loses time in the middle of the ground? probably some combo of cotchin / martin but does that make us better? not sure Hopper has another role however.

Coulthard played on the wing in the 2's at the weekend. His tank is good. Its his upper body strength / sticking tackles etc that is weak but his tank is good.

Will need more than luck. We'll have to play solid footy for the rest of the season. 5 of the remaining 9 against Lions, Demons, Bulldogs, Saints, Port. Saints are the first team in the 8 that we've beaten and their form has been very dodgy. If we do make it we'll definitely have deserved it. Hopefully Crows lose to Pies and Geelong to Dees next week. Will improve our chances.

I'd say Rioli for Pickett for sure. Hopper a bit more interesting. I really have no idea. Cotchin retires on a high? :)

In - Banks, Pickett, Hopper if fit
Out - MJ, Hugo, Ryan (inj/rest)

Miller can back Nank up.
Pickett to replace MJ since his new role seems to be as a forward.

And my probably unpopular thought, have Hopper as the sub. He’s coming back from what 7 weeks off?

Adelaide in 8!

Both McIntosh and Ross were serviceable in what was a memorable win. Ross was line ball with his opponent, but I thought McIntosh was fairly well beaten by his.

Making him sub not a bad result.

Hugo was sub so you need two of Young, Miller amd Ross. But I reckon Ryan misses anyway (injury or dropped).
I don't think Ryans form can be judged on how he plays on a very wet day. Very difficult conditions for a man of his size.
