Changes for Rnd 9 Dreamtime

We blooded Elton against the Pies, and I'm confident that he'll get another go at it this season, but Essendon isn't the team we need to do it against.

Yes it is CTT. Whether it's against Daniher, Carlisle, Burley Hurley or even Bellchambers provides the right experience for him.

Who do you suggest we drop to make way for him?

Astbury is now a forward according to the VFL report (after blitzing our B&F last year as a defender). Wonder whether he might come in to replace Vickery?

Hope we slice and dice this week.

I simply don't understand the clubs thinking on this and many other examples. Forwards into backs, backs into forwards, mids into half backs, half backs into small forwards... *smile* me.

Because footy is footy, and you should get the full education

Sounds perfect and true, but let's get the cheersquad to put a subliminal message in there too....then again, most Bummer ferals haven't passed 1st grade to understand.
As a bummer feral might say, what's a submarine got to do with it?

I've a feeling the Hampervan might make an appearance if Ty doesn't come up

Essendon are crap at clearances this year ... so quick ball movement out of the centre to a forward line with 3 talls, lids, edwards and menadue (gets to a lot of contests that lad), should have us win this game in the first quarter 20 minutes. Outside of the centre, similar harassment to last week is the order of the day, with mcbean playing close to goal.

It really needs to be Vickery out for mcbean.
If mcbean is injured with the thumb, I go with Arnott (sub).
He didn't play last week (he went with the team to Adelaide) but at least he'll be fresh.
Arnott has the tools to make things difficult late in a game.
And menadue gets a full game.

This Is a really important game to win.
It's been a while since we turned up to play from the first bounce is this game.

Surely they'd take a little bit of needling in good humour?

as long as we dont make pricks of ourselves, supplementing the rivalry with an injection of humour is good for football
