Changes for Rnd 9 Dreamtime

In Newman's last 2 healthy games didn't he get like 16 touches and 2 goals? Big game, finals intensity, I won't moan if they bring him in for Corey Ellis.

Would like to see Menadue rewarded for his 7 possession half last week. Had 150 metres gained from 4 kicks, nearly equal to Brett Deledio.

Fletch vs McBean would be a nice script.

Will be a big crowd and big occasion.

We have been pretty ordinary in Dreamtime for a few years.

Time to stick it to em.

True. We haven't won since 2011, but don't forget we got thrashed by them last year during the 3-7 (later 3-10) slump, whereas this season is a different story both ways for both teams....Wada, Wada, Wada...

Looking at the bombers form

They were tied with the lions at half time but the lions didn't have a second half in them.
They beat the saints by 2 points. If Schneider kicked truly they would have lost that one too.
And they knocked off carlton by 3-4 goals.

We've beaten port and Collingwood in the last 8-9 days

The better form is with Richmond

Carlton should have beat Druggos they kicked like 23 behinds and were all over them in the last quarter.
Druggos played played pretty well against Roos though last week.

Couldn't drop Connor M. He was the one who provided most of the "switch" coverage as his speed closed down space. This apart from the Goal and being at lots of contests.

Would make Corey E the Sub as he looked a little flat.

Mc Bean or Elton in for Vickery, depending if they are thinking aggressive or conservative, ie Elton can add defensive height.

Personally think it would be far more beneficial for Corey to rack up touches in the VFL.
I think he looks great but he's missed a lot of training and match play with his injury.
Needs to get confidence & match fitness at the lower level.

Out: Vickery (inj), C Ellis (rested)

I'd bring in the two talls for The Druggies. We can handle their midfield.
Yep exactly and agree totally. If their fwds fire we have the extra tall back there.
3 tall fwds looked good so mcbean would be a good in. He can play up the ground as well as deep so run the druggies def ragged, with jack and griff all swapping and running around up the ground. Mcbean seems he has some smarts and ground skills which will help us.

if you are in the magoos atm what is your best chance of getting promoted ? Do you adhere to team structures and gameplan in a team that appears lacking in both and go along with the flow . Or do you go down the selfish route play outside of the teamrules to make people notice you a bit more . Given that a fit Newy will get an armchair ride back into the firsts , getting promoted is going to be a tough gig .

Two good wins in a row without Newman. I'm not sure he'd be an automatic inclusion anymore.

I reckon 98% of people would agree with you. Unfortunately, the 2% that don't are the ones making the decision. Newman will always be an automatic selection, particularly in big games like Dreamtime. Not condoning it, but it is what it is.

doubt we will bring Elton back this week. we were happy to go against Schulz, Ryder & Westoff with Rance, Chaplin, Batchelor and Grimes. Cant see why we would change that against the Dons with Daniher and Carlisle.

Hardwick has always been happy to play Batchelor as the 3rd tall. When it works we are a better side because of it, with his run compared to Astbury or Elton. He is also happy to back mismatches at times and rely on team defense.

In: McBean
Out TV.

Look it's bad luck for Tyrone because he genuinely looked like he was serious about turning his form around. I feel for the lad but if it's only two weeks he will get his chance.

In the meantime we have a minor God waiting in the wings.

I would say undoubtedly adhering to team rules and excelling whilst doing so. Its pretty clear that some have not got games because they haven't followed the team rules closely enough.

They think it will be a few weeks, hyper flexed the knee and strained the ligament. Once he gets it right, he'll probably need a game or two in the VFL to get himself right for senior footy again. Hopefully if the opportunity is given to McBean he can make Ty earn his spot back, or maybe we can even find room for 4 tall forwards.

From the club's website:

McBean - thumb - test
Newman 1-2 weeks
Vickery 1-2 weeks
Conca 4+ weeks

Ergo:

Out: Vickery
In: McBean / Elton

Vital that the younglings stay in the team only changes should be fitness and injurys
In mcbean / Elton
Out - tv poor bugger was looking at hitting form was he's fault though really no need slam tackle to ground so close to boundary
