Changes for Rnd 9 Dreamtime

Good clip featuring Edwards explaining the design behind the Indigenous jumper.
Gives meaning to it. Worth a watch.

I reckon next year's clash strip dreamtime jumper could be pretty special

How do people think a sign saying 'Congratulations Fletch - 358 clean games' would go down?

I'd laugh. I'd even chip in to pay the inevitable fine

Sounds perfect and true, but let's get the cheersquad to put a subliminal message in there too....then again, most Bummer ferals haven't passed 1st grade to understand.

I agree, the yellow jumper with a black design will look grouse. Would be even better if we could wear black shorts with it and make the drug cheats wear white shorts.

Seeing as you called the Port game early, how much will we win by?

Might put some money on this one.

I'm calling it now.
We've got this game

First 10 minutes and we'll know.
The boys were just so hungry early and hunting port in packs.
Haven't seen that all year.

I'd been umming and ahhhing whether to buy a jumper or not, really liked the more black on the jumper. Watched that and just put the order through to the club website.

Respect the build up for dustin fletcher (congrats great player)....but come and smash these campaigners like you did port....pressure pressure and tackle...score will take care of itself and a win to the mighty tiges. ;)

After giving Cornes a guard of honour they'll have to give one to Fletcher. That should be motivation enough, not to be standing there like dicks after a loss.

doubt we will bring Elton back this week. we were happy to go against Schulz, Ryder & Westoff with Rance, Chaplin, Batchelor and Grimes. Cant see why we would change that against the Dons with Daniher and Carlisle.

Hardwick has always been happy to play Batchelor as the 3rd tall. When it works we are a better side because of it, with his run compared to Astbury or Elton. He is also happy to back mismatches at times and rely on team defense.

In: McBean
Out TV.

Good points and hope that's the only change.

Anyone umming and ahhing about going on Saturday needs to go. I don't want to see a pro bomber crowd and a big Tiges home game.

They ruined Sheedy and Hirds? last game so we have a good track record in this area.

How's this one:

Well whaddya you know, we salute Dustin Fletcher in reaching 400 games.

IN: McSaviour, Costagna (needs elevation)
OUT: Vickery (inj), Chaplin

Smaller, faster, smarter, better.

we had a guest motivational speaker down at punt rd this week.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe."

wont happen, nor should it.
i dont know why you would consider such a big change to our backline that has been very hard to score against the last 2 weeks.

we had a plan for collingwood and for port.

this does not mean we should go to the boundary against Essendon.

it also doesn't automatically mean that we are right for pace off the half back line.

I like Grimes and Batchelor in nullyfying roles.

The Dons have Carlisle and Daniher. Hardly the stuff of nightmares. with rance as third up and Houli, Constagna and Vlastuin providing linking support, I think we need to start weaning ourselves off Chaplin. especially if we want to launch from the back.

If a gorilla KPB is needed then blood Elton.

Surely it's a no brainer this week. We've won 2 on the trot, team is playing well. We cover injuries only. Beanie, if he's fit, for Plasma. But if he's not fit then Hampson might be the chosen one.

Be very surprised if Castagna is picked, not because he doesn't necessarily deserve it, but because according to the coach he's unfortunately out with an ankle injury for the next couple of weeks. I do agree with Brodders, though, the backline was very solid against Port, and despite the stick he gets in here from some circles, Chaplin is a large part of that. We blooded Elton against the Pies, and I'm confident that he'll get another go at it this season, but Essendon isn't the team we need to do it against.
