Captain 2022

TF we have no idea what he is like behind closed doors. Lets not forget the players had a big say on this so they definitely see him as a leader.

Smoking do you know? Do all the players and football dept all get a vote and is that how it is worked out? Anyway good luck to both of them.

The Nank as skipper didn't see it coming but love it
Congrats boys.
Lovely choices.
Would like to see some younger choices as vices Fridge, and maybe Floss (as long as no more brain fades)!

Now give the mike to that oaf (who never played for Richmond) BT and say we want you to interview Nankenstein.
He's Captain now so he can't shun, ignore, poo poo or dagger eyes you.
Man up Brian.
Would be great TV.

I assume you are referring to Brian Taylor as BT.
if that is who you mean then must tell you he did play for the Tigers and was a good player for us

No idea why you would want two captains. Maybe they are splitting roles ie one an on-field and training captain and one an off-field culture and Richmond Man captain. No doubt Cotch drove both as Captain Chimp. Could it be that Dylan's business limits his availability for part of his responsibilities?

I think (and this may be totally off), the players get a vote and the footy department then consider the vote and present it to the board.

For the record Glove.
He was only 16 when recruited from Mandurah, Western Australia, to the Richmond Football Club.[2]

The moustached Taylor, known as "BT" and "Bristle", began his VFL career with Richmond in 1980. He was a full-forward at the same club as the legendary Michael Roach.

Maybe Vloss. I voted for Jacky G but can understand he's probably not 100% ready for the spot. Vloss as C and Graham as VC were my choices for the next 5 years at least.
We have 6 ready made AFL Captains.
Edwards Grimes Jack Martin Graham Nakas even lynch.
We are blessed with leaders

Have never been a fan of co-captains but maybe there is a recognition of the increased off field demands of the industry?

I'm happy for both boys and confident they'll be very good leaders.

Nank will continue to hurt blokes because it's in his DNA. Just keep doing what you've always done. Wear the jumper with pride and get in and support your mates.

Be interesting to see how they handle press conferences etc. Grimes is incredibly well spoken. Nank is capable but has shied away from it until now.

Go Tiges!

Good decisions I guess.
Would not have been good to have just Grimes in the backline as captain
Too difficult to see what is happening up forward.
With Nanks roaming the ground we have a co-captain who can see what is going on all around the place.
Two captains who can talk to one another and make the right decisions on what they see at any given time.

Inspired!

Dusty didnt want it,

Nank inflicts the pain, dylan smiles at the cameras.

It also pays due respect,

Employing 2 great warriors to do the job of the most colossal warrior Richmond has ever seen.

I was sweating on this.

Alls well in Tigerland :banana

Were gonna win the 22 flag

Don't like it. Should have been one captain.

When was the last time 2 captains stood on the Premiership dais?

When was the last time a player debuted in a Grand Final?
Or a 5th gamer was sent to blanket the opposition’s prime mover after half time in a GF - and succeeded?
Or a female presided over a premiership footy club?

While I felt initially like agreeing with you, it’s tempered by the fact that firsts seem to be our stock-in-trade.

I can’t wait to see that crowded dais.
