Captain 2022

Vloss was my main man c'ptn choice, but ... something about a ruck captain has always made some strategic sense. Maybe it's Mabo ^, maybe it's just physically big guys... Nank has become more assertive the more PS's he has... we gonna stop that or encourage it ?

I’m a one captain kind of guy - in saying that - there are no 2 greater players that typify the ‘Richmond Man’ over the past 5 seasons.

A bit surprised having co captains, Cotchin, our Captain Courageous had mighty big shoes to fill though.

Congratulations to 2 legends of the club
Well deserved
I’m looking forward to the first press conference where a journo asks a stupid question to Nank. I pity the stupid fool that does :)

Agree, I'm not sure we have 2 players that give more of themselves on the field, they never EVER leave anything out there.

I reckon they are our good cop / bad cop routine.

Grimes - The smiling assassin
Nank - The not so smiling assassin

I'm not sure it's ever happened. Maybe the Swans in 2005? Kirk was captain but did they have someone else as well?
Never in VFL/AFL history has the premier had two skippers. @&$? It, make your own history Tiges!!!

who would you run through a brick wall for?

Marc Murphy?

Nat Fyfe?

Jack Riewoldt?

Jack Graham?

A great captain is a strange alchemy, difficult to get right. Can't just be the best, the oldest, the most affable, the most decorated.

Nankervis and Grimes are INSPIRED choices. *smile* brilliant.

Inspired choice.
The more I think about it, I’m leaning towards genius.

Two uncompromising Richmond men.
Two hard nuts who would never take a short step on or off the field.

It’s like Mabo. It’s the vibe
both players will inspire the team, it's a great choice. didn't see it coming (the two captains), however, my very best wishes to Nank and Grimesy. May your captaincy roles be filled with plenty of premiership cups just like Trent.

Grimo will tell the players what to do and Nank will make sure they do it.

Quietly wanted Dusty to take it on, but great to see these two lead the team.

We've had plenty of absolute champion players from Tassie, but think Nank is the first permanent Taswegian captain since Royce?
Quietly glad it wasn’t Dusty and others at the club get some recognition

The players won’t have to run through the brick wall, because Nank and Grimes will have already knocked it down.

Both very deserving choices. We are spoilt for leaders when you still have leaders like Dusty, Cotch, Jack, Shedda, Lynch, Prestia and Graham running around as well.
