Captain 2022

Don't like it. Should have been one captain.

When was the last time 2 captains stood on the Premiership dais?

during our previous successful era, 67 -80, we changed captain nearly every year
Yeah, overall it doesn't really matter because we can see most of our players all have learnt leadership material someway. Captains of a team are a bit of a myth IMO.

Monteath wasn't much.

what happens if Nank doesn't like a question in a post match interview after a loss ?

even the most well drilled coaches can get narky

could have a few fines coming our way

I really like it

great decision by the playing group and the club

Not sure I am a co-captain fan but that being said I have no issue with the 2 players chosen.

I do laugh at those who judge someone because they are 'quiet'. It means sweet stuff all.

Was it true or bullshiit that he wouldve not played if he wasn't captain.
Those days you couldve made camp if you were selected on the bench

A bit harsh - just because he was on the bench for a flag doesn't mean he was a deserving premiership captain

Edit: Whoops! Mucked up there. I’m defending Monteath and meant to say that he was still a deserving skipper.

Just like coaches, you need to be vocal don't you? I don't see Nank as that....but players know him better.

He's also a bit shy from the media.

I'm not sure it's ever happened. Maybe the Swans in 2005? Kirk was captain but did they have someone else as well?

TF we have no idea what he is like behind closed doors. Lets not forget the players had a big say on this so they definitely see him as a leader.
