He also had 35 against Sydney and 32 against the Hawks. Are they crap teams??
Oh you're trying to let facts get in the way of a good bagging. He does turn it over too much, but he's starting to improve. Hopefully he can at least get back to his best by the end of the season.

Yeah I agree, he's been frustrating this year as I believe he was better last year (like most of his team mates) but I wish people wouldn't just take pot shots for no real reason. I have said he has to work on his hardness, but its not all bad. He does do some courageous acts but other times he doesn't. still a work in progress is young Brandon.

A prodigious accumulator. If he can be more accountable on the defensive side of the game, he'll be very close to A Grade.

36 possessions against a crap team. look, I rate ellis as a big talent, but the question needs to be asked... is he a downhill skier?

does is really need to be asked? or do you just think it.

Already, well on the way to being our Stanton. Hated by his own supporters for his lack of chase and tackling and compiling soft possessions.

He's a lot better at the age. But he may have been a bit Stantonesque at times under Damian Sheedy.

Gee he goes well for a young kid, cut him some slack whilst he matures, gets the ball plenty which is what we cry out for.

Richmonds version of Stanton early days?

He will be a 1000 times better then Stanton,
His never going to be a real pack buster but he will be a very good link man. Great hands and usually a good kick.

Agreed. Can find the ball.

Last bloke to get 35 touches in year three and cop this big a hiding?

Please, far from perfect but the least of our worries.
Another 30+ odd touches plus a goal.

Now been labelled a downhill skier.

Let the plebs say what they want Smokey.

For years we've had no one able to run & link. Now we have a real gut runner who finds space and the ball and that's not enough. In year three averaging over 25 touches. Looking like a young Dane Swan but that's not enough for some.

Oh well. Been on the bandwagon before we picked him & we just keep on keeping on.

Problem with Ellis is he falls away under pressure - just like most of our players.

All we want to see is a 25+ possession game against quality opposition

Like Sydney? Like Hawthorn? Like Freo?
