Was surprised still only 30.
Played over 20 games a season for 6 years from debut. Only one under 20 in his 8. Got maximum value from him. Entertaining player to watch. Top 50 games played at RFC.

As a fan, i think it was impossible to "hate" Ellis for leaving for 2 reasons- he had clearly given everything in his time at Richmond, and we could never get near matching the money on offer.
And i think any suggestion Hardwick was anything but great for BEliis is crazy. Without Hardwick as his coach, there is a fair chance he would have stayed a flashy "soft" winger, without any premierships, and certainly without the big money contract from the Suns.
