Not yet, I'd like to see him back it up against some quality opposition. Essendon and West Coast will be huge games, I think we'll know if Ellis has arrived if and when he produces the same quality in a must-win contest.

Quicker than what we were told

Nice player so far, adds a dimension to the midfield
But we needed another in and under mid as the Dees killed us at the clearances early and in hit outs
Conca might replace Tucky in that role
Maric replaces Stephenson who is just an honest tryer

Interesting one. No for me, but I can see why people would ask the question. Ellis had no opponent in a bum side, they were targeting Lids and Cotch, but given that opportunity, he still had to play well, and he played out of his skin.

The perception that Ellis was slow was put to bed at the draft camp, he ran a 3.02 which surprised many at the time. It may have something to do with his build, solid types tend to look like they're labouring when they get the pistons pumping, Ellis is no exception. The other thing to consider is Brandon's huge tank, he'll basically be going toe to toe with anyone as a match wears on. He must be close to the fittest guy at the club.

Quite a different role he's playing Conca has been much more inside.
Nice debate to have though. Both are excellent acquisitions. Dimma lamented Conca's absence in the presser.
Personally I'd like to see Brandon given Grigg's role when Reece and a couple of others become available.

He seems like a really nice kid, too. Came on Twitter yesterday to thank everyone who sent him messages of congratulation for his performance on Sunday. That's class.

He's made such an impact this year there were a number of times in defence on Saturday that I half expected him to shut something down, be there to mop up or be the next link in the chain but he never came..
Hope the hamstring isn't too bad. Don't need another Grimes. Manage him well Tiges. Important piece of the puzzle.

Not only that Oldie, many a time on Saturday I was waiting for the long release ball down the line to a man in space or the short diagonal ball into the middle to a man in space (which Ellis does with regularity) and that never came either.
Very early on when we couldn't dent their zones I noticed that we really missed Brandon.
