Brandon Ellis

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Fantastic performance, the endurance aspect of his game is shining through, didn't stop running all day. It's also unlikely Ellis will cop a tag, this bodes well for his ability to maintain some consistency. For a second year player Ellis is excelling beyond all expectations.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Is a midfielder. Runs hard too space. One of the few gut runners we have. As he gets fitter, really could blossom.

Should be the prototype for all of our first and second round picks moving forward. His skill set is the benchmark. Nothing lower.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Just went out there today and played. Great effort from the young fella. I'd be surprised if anyone could nominate a better Tigers player out there today.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Has been mentioned before but worth mentioning again, his one on one marking efforts are fantastic. Very reliable

The only blot on his performance was that a number of his kicks went sideways and backwards.

Not a blot at all. Controlling the pace of the game is intelligent football and something that we need to improve on.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

WOW ..WOW AND WOW...i just love this kid....easily bog today..can mark..can kick..can run..can be as tough as nails....was it bereton i heard say that by the end of the year he will be talked about in the same breathe as lids and cotchin??
its just awesome to see how him and vlustian have now joined cotch lids and martin as very very good players

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Luv the way he plays, his skills are sublime, we have to many players who are deficient by foot and he and floss are 2 who rarely turn it over.
Ellis's endurance is awesome especially for a 2nd year player, quite strong over head and has a footy brain, decision making is also very very good....We have a star in the making and this type of player picked at No 15 is something the cats and pies normally end up with, so just rapt we have him...

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

has a lot of attributes that will only improve over time.
At 20, he is already the best endurance athlete at the club, this will only improve and get him more and more into space

Our very own Grant Birchal

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Was a bit disappointed with a couple of marks he dropped, but he certainly had a defining game in his development.

Still 19yo.

Turns 20 in August.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Second teenager in the last 20 years to get 39 possessions in a game apparently.

Hope he goes better than the first one...Tom Scully
