The Freo player you're thinking of is Josh Simpson. Hasn't played yet but I think he's close. Leon Cameron would have to be the most dual-sided I've seen.

Thats him. Ive got a funny feeling hes gonna be the kind of player you pay to go and see, irrespective of whos playing. cant wait to see him do his crazy salsa that leaves opponents going :shakehead

You gotta love a lot of things about Jakey.

I was not a great fan when in the backline and even when first shifted forward I had queries but I started watching him a bit closer (to see if what you kept on raving on about was true) and discovered he is a real key to our forward line. He can play as a lead up forward (whilst not a great contested mark do you ever see him outmarked?), a roving forward, he sets up goals for others, he organises the other forwards and most imoprtantly he wins contests or at worst breaks even - if he is involved in the play the ball rarely leaves our forward line easily. Now that the umpires are finally starting to show some respect he is winning some 50/50 frees instead of losing them all.

I only wish he was 24.

Have told the story before on here of Michael Hurley's dad making him kick one left and one right foot kick from the first moment he took him down to the park with a football.
It should start at Auskick level (which is about where Nahas is at with his left).

Agreed, I heard the taxi driver got both boots.

Lamb was spot on.

King has been a much more rounded player than Nahas his whole career.
King has been an important player since being moved forward.
King doesn't lose many 50/50 contests, Nahas doesn't win many.

Nahas has no place in our best 22, somebody (spook?) called it not long ago, Nahas is a good backup.

Wrong.

Nahas has outperformed King the last few years by any measure you want to go off. Superior stats and more consistent output, better B&F results, better durability. Overtaken this season yes I'm not arguing that but let's not make stuff up to suit opinions shall we. Nahas has been a pretty decent player, has kicked a lot of goals for us and been our best small forward until recently when Edwards overtook him.

Easily the worst I have seen on the left. Actually I could be wrong, I've never seen him kick on his left.

As I said harsh rep. People act as if he's the only one. I could name plenty in our side that only use their opposite leg for balance. Now that's no different to Nahas now is it.

By the way saw him deliver a nice left pass in the preseason for a score assist. Think it was against Essendon. Anyways we're getting off topic.

King has a better win/loss record...

Nahas better than Kingy......Tell him he's dreamin'.

Barnzy I am in awe of your ability to go the footy and observe and come back understanding absolutely nuttin'.

And BTW Kingy hasn't changed the way he plays one bit from the day he started.

Nahas gets cheap goals against inferior opposition. Last year had a spurt of 16 goals in 5 games against Brisbane, Carlton, North, Melbourne, Gold Coast. Was better in 2011, in fact great, even had 4 games in a row with 26 possessions plus. But his slide downhill has been dramatic. Cannot handle pressure games and has for whatever reason lost his pace. It's a pity becauss he's only 25.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

39 touches. Higher than Cotchin, Lids or Martin have ever recorded.

39 quality touches too.

Top effort.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I am gonna put my hand up as I have said and thought he was headed for a very average year this year and looked slow etc. BUT HOW WRONG I AM. What a game. Just ran and ran and ran. What a great pick at 15! Wow.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

In ellis and The love machine, we have 500 tough reliable games. Extraordinary level headed recruiting. It was almost worth going x-factor crazy on JON to have the contra X reaction an get these blokes in Y&B :clap
