Brandon Ellis

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Kid was very solid tonight across half back. I am surprised how good he is overhead.

Looks like he has improved. Interesting to see how he goes against quality opposition who will stop his run.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Enjoyed his efforts tonight. Nice work overhead and below the knees. Some decent tackles too.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Played a good game tonight, but that's not surprising because I reckon he has a very good year last year. Very smart

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Terrific tonight. Just needs to polish his kicking for goal. Not on his own there though.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Add him to Conca and now Vlaustin and its been a few fruitful years at the recruiting table. These few guys under the Cotch and Lids captaincy look to have a bright future for the Tigers. Plenty of class in this team now - just got to put it all together at the same time and I can see us blowing a few teams off the park

Looked good, as he did last pre-season. Close to our best tonight.

Agree, I thought he was clearly our best performer over the 2 games.
Has taken it up a cog. My highlight of the night along with Petterd and Vlastuin.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Sheesh. The hands. When that ball was ricocheting around our backline by hand Ellis was involved. Floss too. Petterd. Morris. Quantum ball movement leap in the defensive arc. Glamour ball use.

Of course the boys blued a bit too. Heh heh. But he played with the authority of a 200 gamer at times.

He had a very solid hitout - looked to have a lot of game time and I reckon he was knackered when he blundered that late shot. Interesting that the coach should leave it to players of Ellis's ilk to win the game with the stars watching from the sidelines. "He's got to understand that we want the ball in his hands."

There will be a next time - reckon he'll drill the *smile* out of it.

Looks like an absolute pro. Loved that final mark vs North thought he was gonna get spoiled easily but CLUNK just too good in the air. Love him.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Will be our most improved player this year. Just a player that strives to be better at every facet of his game. Our high-end drafting has been exceptional over the past few years.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Will make a huge announcement on the competition this season

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

looks like ellis and petterd will replace newman and houli from the backline

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

With Vlaustin he was our most impressive for mine, saw a bit more of what others see in him last night, will now add nicely into the midfield mix with a variety of roles there

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Can definitely see the benefits of a big pre-season because what I saw last night is a fella that is a deadset monty for most improved.
Would have to been close to our best player on the night.
Creative from the back half and spread well when pushing forward.
Very pleasing signs!
