Rising star nomination this week? He is due.

Has to get one before the year ends. Not many of the eligible ones will play as many games as he has already.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I would of thought Caddy would get the nod this week. On Ellis though, the fact that he always keeps his feet has become more evident over the past month as the rest of our backline has opted to make late entry into the Australian Olympic Diving Team. He will be a big brut in 5 years time storming off HBF with precise use.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

One of the few smart players we have. And trys to hurt the other team physically. Made Ablett feel contact when he didn't have to.

Getting better as the year goes on. Will be a very good footballer. Already on par with Conca.

They were both great today.
Conca and Ellis stood up today. At this stage of their careers they should be the support acts but due to some our idiot senior players getting rubbed out or on the *smile* they become part of the main act.

Still no RS nomination despite his 24 touches & 12 marks. Caddy got it this week.
Not sure what more he can do.

2012 Statistical Rankings

Ranked 5th among rising stars in Total Disposals
Ranked 8th among rising stars in Total Marks

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Does this mean if he aint been nominated by the panel of x spurts he can't win it?
Kids been so consistent this year maybe the idiots think he's already done a couple of seasons so isn't eligible.
Half the kids nominated have one flash in the pan game then a handfull of half decent ones and people start to drool all over them. Brandon has started the season honestly and simply kept improving consistently. Should be right up amongst the best kids this year.

What a laugh, caddy 15 possies and 1 mark compared to Ellis say no more....

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I agree with David King's comments about Ellis. He isn't sold on him yet as a 1st round pick. He believes that normally a 1st rounder has a certain attribute or skill that makes them standout. At the moment I don't see anything special about him either. Certainly not writing him off, he has had a solid 1st year but nothing to make you excited. Doesn't have a great kick, not particularly explosive, not a marking player etc. I hope over the next 12 months, his special attributes that can set apart the "league players" and the good players, shows soon.
