Brandon Ellis

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

awesome game for a first year player. Did really well a couple of times when he was outnumbered. wow

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Watched Ellis closely today.

He needs to really concentrate and make sure that his handballs and chip-kicks hit the target.

I know that he is young, but smalls need to have skills quality early.

There were too many times that his disposals missed their targets, caused turnovers, and put his own team mates under unnecessary physical pressure.

Hitting his target with a bulls eye needs to be Ellis' focus in coming games.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I like to the way Dimma is using him as a Sub, he is not going to cook him in his first year.
Hopefully he will continue to develop and finish the season off strongly.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Some mistakes but also a lot of nice work yesterday from Ellis. I'm a fan.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

The boy doesn't fumble.
Lot of time for sure ball handlers!

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Kicked the match winner too. Had the composure to take it on and make sure of it and not handball over and potentially turn it over. Took it on himself and did it. Like the signs from this young man.

Yeah big moment for the young man and did it spot on. Tonight's game was worth 25 games for Brandon.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Doing a nice job, makes his errors at times but for a first year kid hes a tidy footballer.

Looks like a good get, another one of the kids i am a wrap for.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

He'll never be a B & F winner ILO, but he's the type the will always be pencilled into the senior side for years to come.

Better than leysy thought he'd be. Humble pie.

Of course not lazy. Cotch, Lids, Dusty & Jacky Boy will win all the B & F's!

He's a very solid citizen and you can't have too many of them.
Newie's successor.

Hmmm I thought that was Batchelor. Body wise he looks like a good utility/ruck rover style. Don't know where he is going to get Tucks inside game from though.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I reckon he's a ripper. Will be a very solid player for us.

Reminds me of Merv Keane.

Give him a few more years experience and I can see Keane in him too.

The best thing about Ellis is that he has the potential, and you know this team will help him realise it. He is getting a great apprenticeship.

All that talent we have drafted over the years that slipped away into mediocrity for lack of a proper environment in which to develop.

Short of a premiership, this is the thing that pleases me most about where we are going.

It means a sustainable future.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Nice game except when he woosed it in the air in defense and didn't smash Milera or Saad or whoever that small forward was when he jumped to the side of the player instead of right through him.

He'll cringe when they do the review of that one. Gotta expect that from young kids...... But only once.
