Brandon Ellis

Hes had a very good year Brando, probably disposal wise on Friday his lowest but i tell u that hit on danger was awesome the boys got around him and i also noticed not one cats player went to danger...
No doubt in the prelim he will be back to his high disposal count but i must say loving his harder edge this year, cant believe i actually said that but its true hes tackling harder and laying more hip n shoulders.

Reckon there's no case for Cotchin but Ellis could be in trouble. Clearly a head high hit going for the bump.

There's a precedence that works in Brando's favour. Zak Jones bumped a melbourne player which got him in the head, which looked much, much worse than what Ellis did. And Jones got off without a fine, suspension or anything. They showed this on the channel 9 footy show.

Yeah at the time i thought Zak Jones was very lucky but now i am glad he got off - helps us enourmously.

So did the Clangerfield hit and the adoration he recieved spark something in Bellis? 2 games in row, 2 'out of character' body shots.

About the only player who didn’t make a mark on the game. Was he running with a Crow?

But in saying that, no mark also means no clangers. Premiership Player Brandon Ellis.

Too soft in tight they said. Won’t stand up in finals they said.

Well he just played a finals series and completely changed his game. Find me one contest he took a short step in. Completely reestablished himself as a footballer, made every contest life or death.

Ask Patrick Dangerfield about his attack on the ball. Brandon Ellis rang his bell. And every team mate noticed.

Culture.

Classic coaching turned this guy!! Soft, downhill skier who goes missing? No problem, turn him into a tackling, spoiling, tough as nails rebounding defender.

Well done Brando.

Huge clubman, he was a key behind getting Prestia to the Tigers, all after he was nearly traded to Freo last year.
He loves the Tigers though. Now he's a premiership winner. Greatly improved this year. Hope it continues next year. He has the tools.

Brandon's form is the result of him being too good a student. He's the victim of over coaching.

Trust me, if we play with instinct this year, and quick ball movement, I can guarantee Ellis will be our biggest improver. He'll finish top 10 in the BnF IMO.

It will take a while to get back that instinct, he hasn't been allowed to play with it for two years. Give him a few H&A games this year to make judgement.

He might not finish top 10, but I backed him in, and I thought he had a terrific year. Arguably our most improved.

Onya, Brando.

I really like brandos video on the rfc website.

12 months ago you could never have predicted he would be a premiership player.

He has done the hard yards after a relatively easy start to his career. I am sure it has made him a better play.

Seems like a quality kid and popular amongst the team.

I liked his video as well.

I also noticed that he had a bump on the head and skin off the ear. It wasn’t caused by the game.

Perhaps he partied harder then he played.

Visit the Journo board a very moving story on what Brandon had to overcome in life.

Haven't got the book yet, but have lined it up to be under the Chrissie tree this year. Just read this excerpt in the Age today. Emotional. I shed a tear. I also finished it and thought 'Geez, we really ARE the best club in this land'. Even without winning the final, I would love to play with this club. Would be busting to get into this group. This is a club we can all be very proud of.
