Reclaimed his title in the most recent 2klm time trial over Lambert who has won the previous 2.
He's not going to lie down. Great to see

It seems young Higgins may have his eye on the prize as well.

He might really go on with it from here, thought he was sensational in the finals series. 8-

Lets hope so ToO, I thought his whole 2017 was good but as you say he played really well in finals.. Massive improvement from 2016, I didn't have him best 22 start of 2017..

As you say lets hope he pushes on as I think the game plan is suited to not just him but most of our list..

All our players played well in the finals. It's hard to think of a player that didn't play well.

Excellent interview with Ellis today on the RFC web site.

He is just so dedicated, and does all the right things to be as good a player as he can.

Good luck to him and may his tenure blossom.

3 contested possessions, 16 uncontested

yet only 50% disposal efficiency

his kicking needs to improve significantly

menadue breathing down his neck

I thought he turned the corner last year towards the second half, finals and GF!

Am I harsh in saying he has gone backwards??

Have to be on notice?

In the gun for me. Poor start to the season. Has some credits after last year but a guy like Broad down back and Menadue as a running winger are knocking on the door.

I’d think with Shorts form, Mendaues potential and Broad a lock to come back in shortly that Brando wouldn’t want a quiet month. Goin ok though

We have had a few look a bit iffy this year , but most have improved since , I’m guessing he will get the benefit of the doubt for now , but will need to respond

Lucky it was against Brisvegas. Some of the decision making n trying to force back through traffic was frustrating as hell. Just lacks that touch of composure n skill sometimes when he's got that extra half second to assess better.

I would have thought our worst player yesterday.

Went to ground during chase/tackle - when he didn't need to!

..... and his disposal was simply shocking!

I doubt he'll be dropped - but Conca is (at least) improving whereas BEllis is going backwards

Surely has to be looked at. Menadue and broad will hopefully start putting pressure on him. Can’t keep gifting games especially with our impressive depth.

Spot on.
Never been a fan but he stepped up late last year and earnt his spot.
Has gone back to his 2016 form and should be dropped (but won't be).

Was on the footy show this morning and was quizzed about playing behind the ball almost like it was known that he doesnt like it, basically said he'd much prefer playing in the middle or more time on the wing but would play anywhere to play in a premiership.

I reckon he was in similar form this time last year and turned it around by round 6. But there were fewer likely replacements then so he has to fire up very soon.
