Brandon Ellis

The contest with Dangerfield was as hard as I've seen him go.

Spectacular effort. Exemplifies the team ethos.

And didn't the boys get around him to let him know he did good. This team is really on another level when it comes to playing for each other.

Heard SEN this morning say how 6 team mates went to Ellis. None to Dangerfield

Bingo. It's contagious. Ellis of the past would have waited a split second let Danger pick it up and then pounce.

But he actually looked up, saw it was Danger and went harder to the contest. Huge change.

No doubt that is shown in the review.

Same thing happened in the reserves. If there was a scuffle or push and shove there were multiple Richmond players coming in to help out.

Great sign the mark he went for about 20 minutes later. Showed confidence. Well done Brando.

Thinking about it more, I think the directive to the team was to hit Clangerfield and Selwood as hard as possible, legally, when ever the chance is there. For the boys to come in like that it must have been more than the hit in isolation, it must have been something everyone was looking for and trying to do.

Saw that from where I was sitting. Brandon got up rubbing his head, Dangerfield showed no signs of hurt. I kept my eye on him for the next two minutes, saw him rubbing his head. in fact, he did that a couple of times throughout the night. after the joint hit, his kicking was not the same.

Jack on 360 last night, called the Ellis/Dangerfield contest his favourite thing of the night.

No doubt he got wraps internally.

it was my third favourite thing after

1. Dustys double fend on the boundary and 60m pass to grigg in the square

2. Chimps half volley, blind turn, left foot goal.

Danger is huge and strong and brando went.

:clap

The credit he got from that hard bump on Dangerfield would have a massive confidence boost for Brando , He would be loving how the boys would have got around him and the plaudits from the coaches - Having a great year and will inspire him to play harder next game

It's quite bizarre how many players are having career best seasons ,

Which is why we sit where we are I guess

Not really. As most a long time tigers, this is the first year the handbrake has been released

There little more you can ask of your mates than, when it's your turn to go, you go. Great bonds are formed in those moments. Long may they last.

So true Knighter!

Wasn't that one of Hardwicks mantra early on ?

Those acts can inspire and be infectious on the whole playing group.
