Brandon Ellis

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Don't know Mav his pace from what I have seen is a real worry. Kicks it ok but small and slow is not the way to go.

Boy this lad is very slow :(

Yeh, maybe not the fastest, but he's quick to dispose and generally makes good decisions. For mine he's an effective player after 5 games. He wasn't as good today as he has been in previous games and maybe he could use a spell at the Burgs.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Why was he subbed off?
After he kicked his goal the players were so emotional I thought we'd surely over run them. It just seemed like a little let down to subb him off.

Obviously have no idea how his motor was, but IMHO shouldn't have been subbed off

He has elite endurance.

Agree it was an error subbing him off instead of Dea. As it was going into the game with 2 players over 190cm in the backline against the tallest forward line in the AFL.

Yeah, the sub was a horrible call but we forever looked a tall short today. The only reason Dea survived.

Brandon Ellis has played five games and every time he has the ball I am supremely confident of it going to a Richmond player’s advantage.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Kicked the goal pretty well. We should try him in attack a few times.

I was shocked to see him get the sub. But in saying that he was blowing pretty hard just before he was subbed.

Before he kicked the goal he was involved in a crunch deep in our defence and was holding his thigh. Sustained a soft tissue injury could be a corkie..........I hope.

I guess this was not shown on TV.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Playing on a wing, he covered much more ground than he's used to. I'd say he was spent and that's why he was subbed.

Wouldn't mind seeing him play small forward. I reckon he's pretty smart with the ball and a good user.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

He is definitely smart, but I think wing is his future. Forward would not suit as you need closing speed these days to apply defensive pressure.

Agree, silly decision to sub him after he kicked a goal.Good one Dimma.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Agree terrible decision to sub ellis, Dea was the one if any. White gave us p.ss weak tackle attempts, dropped mark and poor decision making with our final onslaught

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Add me to the surprised list for him being subbed. If he had pace would have been a top 5 pick I suspect.
