Very early. But being a depth player at AFL level is a tremendous effort in its own right. I'm just trying to see where his game could develop to dominate opposition which is what you need to do to be a top 5 in a quality teams B&F and I struggle to see it. I more see him as someone who will develop into a solid role player with clean skills, which i what we need to surround our gun with. They can't all be superstars.shad said:That's an early call.
Yep, exactly what I'm saying. We need about 5 more guys like this quickly to give us some depth.ToraToraTora said:Brandon Ellis may never make Milhouse' top 50. But he looks like a rounded footballer. Which is more you can say for 4-5 others that played last night.
Juffaricho said:Maybe, but from the few games I have seen I understand why a guy who is super fit, solid build, has good footy brains and is an elite kick still dropped to pick 15 in a compromised draft. He seems to be a bit in between in speed and athleticism, I actually see him as a shorter Jake Batchelor type but with better disposal. But Jake's advantage is he can probably take more contested marks as 3rd up because of his height.
Looks like a solid pick at the number we had and the type of player we probably should have gone for because we need depth but I don't see him as the type who'll finish top 5 in a good teams B&F.

We have another beauty on our hands. Will get much better.
He did take a couple of kick ins. And didnt shank one unlike some of his more experienced team mates.shad said:I would like to see him doing some kick ins too. He was impressive in that role during what I saw of the pre season.
