How's his finals record??

As others have stated its out inside mids that need to improve in finals. Players like Ellis need people to feed him the ball.

Look at the last 3 finals and see the clearances.

Carlton - Lost 38-49
Port - Lost 30-37
North - Lost 35-42

Its no coincidence that we have been smashed at the clearances in our last 3 finals and we haven't been able to get the ball out. We lost contested possessions in all 3 as well.

We have good ball users in the midfield, we need to supplement that with players that can extract the pill from contests.

This is why we absolutely need to get a player that can do that, either a superstar like Treloar (great clearance player), Prestia, O'Meara, Libba or on the lower end Redden.

What's your feeling when comparing the relative merits of BEllis vs Chaplin

cause you are not funny, and make a silly comment

why not compare soft wingman to soft wingman? B Ellis to Grigg

my view is the both have down side, but at least Ellis is young, fit, fast, a high draft pick, has upside etc. ... unlike Shaun

leave you mate, soft key defender (that cannot defend) Chaplin out of it

Why leave Chaplin out of it, we haven't heard your thoughts on him yet.......

So what role do you see Grigg playing for us next year? From your comments it seems as though he could be set to have a big year.

I dont think we should trade him at all but his finals record is a concern. Given that he is only 22 he has time on his side but next year is a crucial year. Another failure in finals and then we should consider a trade
