Yeah it's funny. :hihi

Ellis is a keeper. He made the AA squad last year as a 20/21 year old, personally think he had a more well rounded year this year. He'll keep working on his contested ball, goalkicking and improving. He had a poor final and people want to throw the baby out with the bathwater but the guys playing on the inside got smashed as well so no coincidence.

He did not have an "ordinary year". That's rubbish. http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pc-richmond-tigers--brandon-ellis

His possession count was good. I have the feeling his disposal quality dropped off though. Anyone have 2014 v 2015 disposal efficiency stat?

The 'hurt factor' of his disposals definitely dropped off. Still only young and an important member of the team though.

72.7% disposal efficiency as per AFL website stats for 2015

His bad habits are becoming worse and more importantly ingrained. i.e. care with ball, defensive running (half the rebound 50's this year), contested ball and attitude on field.

That sits with the coaching staff.

His disposal efficiency dropped....by 0.5%. But he got a little more clearances, a lot more marks and tackles. He was ranked 11th in the league in effective disposals, 7th in kicks, 12th in total disposals, 16th in marks.

Interesting. Stats suggest a plateau/drop off are not correct.

22 year old kid who's best footy is ahead of him averaging 26 disposals a game at 73% efficiency and people want us to trade him......

Sorry but time for people to take a breath!

Has had another fine year. For me if he could improve his kicking for goal and his rebound 50's would be an elite outside player.

However I would trade him for the right inside mid.

Love him, think he will have a fine career.

Needs to work on the attitude though.

Was softish this year.

Caught with the ball a lot, head not really in the game, all seemed a bit hard.

We lack outside run and midfield depth yet people on here want to trade someone like Ellis out to only trade someone just like him in.
Would you trade Brandon for Bennell?

As a last resort i would consider it for sure but you would do everything in your power to come up with another combo of picks and players.

I know its completely hypothetical but a trade like that slightly helps us out on the field but does nothing for improving our list as a whole.
Much rather trade a pick and an excess tall and add Bennell to Ellis.
