Brandon Ellis

What has his kicking efficiency been the last 2 weeks compared to the whole season? He seems to run himself ragged with his gut running and disposing of the ball is an afterthought. His goal kicking accuracy has been really bad as well.

Opposition teams know to deny him space.

When under pressure he is very hit and miss withhis kicking. Very.

Happy to be corrected but I've never seen it. If you can find examples, please show me.

He definitely kicked it on his left foot on the wing in the 3rd quarter.

But the ball went straight up and out of bounds on the full 15m away.

Since hes moved into the middle as a power runner his foot skills have become rubbish as has some of his decision making.

Is he fatigueing himself and thus is it affecting his performance??

Might need a spell back at HBF.

I havent been overly enamoured with his season this year, granted has got more of the footy but has been a lot less damaging and has also become somewhat of a turnover merchant at times this year.

In seasons past i was comfortable when he had the footy, this season not as much.

The most overrated footballer at Richmond. 31 inconsequential possessions. Minimal hurt factor. Defensively poor. Sells teammates into trouble. Poor by hand, average by foot. Chateau de Bathwater.

I'll back him in though. If he works hard, eradicates some glaring faults and tidies up his finishing, maybe one day he can be as good as Shaun Grigg.

There were a couple last night but they were easy kicks. It's his preferred side that bothers me.

:hihi

I agree he's overrated but the fact he's in a malaise and is still a ball magnet is a huge positive for a young player. Still reckon he could be Cuz lite.

Joey Montanga. I thought he end up more inside as a mid but he's a runner. We've never had someone able to get the ball this much on the outside. Needs to use it better and get more handball receives as opposed to short kick over the mark stuff. But still a vital part of the squad.

Agree he's gone backwards this year in terms of damaging disposals but he's still a lot better then anything else we have to offer. Had the most effective disposals for the Tigers and is leading this for the year (almost 20 a game) and that's possession time the opposition don't have. Not the best disposer but better than anything else we have.

Yep. I compared him to Stanton initially, then Joey and then Cuz off the basis of his end to 2014. He can be an AA calibre wingman, needs to look to Andrew Gaff for what he should be eventually.

Simply needs to tidy up his decision making n disposal a fraction, just seems to be doing virtually everything flat out this year. A little poise n thought will see him step up to A grade capacity, works seriously hard n gets plenty of it, a little tidy around some rough edges n he'll be fine.

His tackle numbers are down and there is not the same intent in his defensive running. I agree with spook that it could be bathwater related.
