Brandon Ellis

Looked a bit lethargic to me. Not chasing hard enough. Off with the ball. He'll lift.

Worst 26 disposal game he has played. And the non possessions, when he was caught after dithering would have hurt more against a decent opposition. Even managed to knock the ball out Chaplins hand when both were under no pressure. His standard is very high that's why last night was so disappointing in my eyes.

Might be a bit left field, but is it possible opposition sides have started paying a bit more attention to B.Ellis? Still works hard n gets plenty of it without having quite as much time n space sometimes. Got crunched n squashed a few times n possibly the ramped up running workload has seen his kicking go off a tad.
Taking his full share of the team workload nowadays which also means it's easier for someone else to get out from under at times. We're getting a much more even spread of influence on games nowadays without teams being able to sit on Cotch, Lids, Dusty n Jaaack to take us out of the contest. There's players constantly bobbing up to have an influence.

Dimma really can coach, TM. Everybody saw the attention thing coming. Brandon was reprogrammed to hunt and he did hunt for most of the season.

His blue collar game is well off right now. But he's young and it is July.

Good discussion TM and big Jack, agree with both.

Has been acting a bit primmadonna-ish I reckon. Going off at the bench and team mates who don't hit him on the tit. Annoying, but he's young and got good quick. Not worried about it

Running into goal 30m out just stick it through the big sticks. To me that's the team thing not trying to give it to some one 25 m out. Annoys the carp out of me whoever does it, but tonight it was B Elllis so he cops my wrath. And while I'm here, thought he let some of his tackles be brushed off too easily.

Same here. *smile* me no end when I see costly disposals like that.

Over my mediocre career in basketball team success was built on this premise if you are open and within your range you take the shot unless there is someone in a higher % position to whom you can get the ball with near 100% certainty.

Jacks weave and pass from the boundary to Lambert was an example of the rule at its best, Brandon's shanked pass was a violation of it.

Over this year we are seeing less low % snapshots from impossible angles and more passes like Jacks - good but on the other hand we have seen these ridiculous passes when a goal was there for the taking.... Dusty has been guilty in recent weeks.

Playing sh!t footy. Will not be guaranteed a spot when some players come back.

Rubbish. He's slightly out of form but so far entrenched in our best 22 it's ridiculous.
