I thought the chases were Hunt when I was watching, TM. It might as well have been me on the deck when I realised it was him. Right now he's playing a very different game.

I'd cop 100 tackles and 20 goals 5, brother.
I cant tell the difference between them. When Drummond was out there also last week, it made things even more confusing!

Right, you lot. You know that blond blur Yorick Hunt who chases down players from range and tackles them?

You're not watching closely enough. It's Ellis. The bloke has improved 1000% defensively. He's grown up. He is blue collar.

Tackles 2012-4 - 36, 45, 56. This year 23 so far. 7, 4, 5, 7. What those stats don't tell you is how many metres he's made up to lay some of them. He's gone quantum. He chases and hard. It's happened. He works for a living.

The next thing I'd like to see him work on is kicking the goal. For now I'll give ya 7/2 each way when he's shooting. (T&Cs apply.)

And dont forget, gamble responsibly 8-

I'm still no sure if Drummond was any good, Racney. Some blond was. ;D And I thought Hunt did his knee.

I got a power of a hiding last weekend, Razor. Shame Brandon didn't have more shots on goal - it would have got me out!

I'll do some research on blokes who've averaged 23+ touches, 100 tackles and kick +20 goals.

Reckon it's a short list.

Haha, absolute nightmare it is! The commentators cant tell them apart either, they constantly get it wrong (amongst their various other mistakes of course).

Me either. If I can't see the numbers on their back, I've got no idea which one is Hunt and which one is Ellis. Wasn't it not all that long ago that people were asking for Brandon to be released from the back half into the midfield permanently?

Carn, carn the Tiges. It's called 'rearranging the deck chairs'. Pick up your fiddle and take your place on the bandstand.

Looking from the opposite side of the ground, I thought it was Floss initially.

Terrible luck for Drummond; highly relieved it wasn't Nick.

We've got a team of strawberry blondes, coached by one. They could always put a boy band together and take the Pop Asia channel by storm if this football thing doesn't work out.
Dimma could be a modern day Reuben Kincaid.

:rofl

I have to keep watching to see which one it is. Then I can't find the ball. A bit like Morris.

If all Dimma's stories were like Ellis we'd be going all the way, SCOOP.

Is slowly loosing his run and dash due to our terrible coach. Doesn't seem to want to take the game on at every opportunity like he has been doing. No doubt following supercoaches instructions.

Ran the numbers of those with 25 touches, 5 tackles per game and a goal per game.

Ablett, Gary & Selwood, Joel the only ones in 2014.

Hasn't hit the scoreboard yet Brandon, needs to get more ball going into 50.

rabbit rabbit rabbit

Time to lift I have high expectations. Still not hitting the scoreboard with poor finishing.

I can believe the goals thing. He'd have to be the worst shot in the side. Who the hell is responsible for training the players to shoot at goal? Whoever it is needs to be sacked immediately.

Structure hurting him the most. Always seems to end up running around corners and kicking on his left under pressure. We are trying to play the hawks game plan backwards.

Brandon has always been a bit vanilla, he does not have great acceleration nor top end speed, nor lateral athleticism to weave through traffic, nor is he much chop as a contested player/clearance player. What he is is an above average mark for his size, a penetrating kick, however not elite in accuracy, and a phenomenal gut runner. His ability to impact a game at AFL level is determined by two factors;
1) He has to be in top physical shape to gut run and find space cos' he needs space for his possessions to be effective and line breaking. If he does not already have space when the ball comes near him he does not have the ability to create it physically so his possessions are easily put under pressure and far less effective.
2) The opposition not putting an elite runner on him to shadow.

Opposition coaches are aware of his running abilities now and his penetrating kick hence his ability to be a large "metres gained" player so now they plan for him and it is pretty easy to plan for him right now when Lids is out/playing injured, one of our wingers in McIntosh is a rookie and has a lot to learn and we are playing one less ball moving HBF than usual (Batch, Newman Grimes etc. have all played this role and they do not need to be stopped so right now if you stop one of Ellis or Houli then it is a one man show and opposition coaches are definitely prioritizing Ellis over Houli.

He definitely loses confidence sending it in and when he sees the big white sticks, SCOOP. He'll never get faster and he won't get much stronger. His game goes can only go quantum through goal kicking and golden I50 kicks. He'a very rounded now in every other way. Credit to coach and player. And the challenge is clear.
