Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?
I have steered clear from the Cousins debate on a whole until now, so I still find some of these topics interesting (even if some of you have already discussed them at length).
Do I judge your experiences with drug addicts through the snippets of information I can sense through an unreliable medium?
I wouldn't be able to understand the first thing about what you've gone through if all I had to go by was the media, is that a fair statement?
Clutching at straws.
Why do you think the AFL is now looking at bending the rules? They want Ben to play. They will assist the club who takes him on in any way that they can - without the AFL eliminating some of the risks no club in the AFL will touch him.
So our kids will start playing worse because of Ben's presence? And we won't be able to draft anyone because the rest of the world is as irrational as you?
Okay then, try to convince me that Ben is going to adversely effect the performance of our younger players. I don't want grand statements I want reasons and facts.
I'll kick things off: at West Coast he pushed everyone around him to train beyond their limits. All reports suggest he was a fantastic character to have around the club and a driving motivator behind the 2006 flag.

1. The persona projected in the media by Ben, does not show a person who is seeking to change.

The AFL have washed there hands of the whole problem, it will be the club that bears the fallout not the AFL.

It would adversely effect the performance of our younger player plus it may have parents saying they do not want there kids to play for RFC, remember what happened to the eagles.
