2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

It would take a break through in team chemistry to make it happen in a game though ………….. it would cause the league to invent new and ground breaking medicine if it were to successfully combat their anti Richmond rules ………………. It would cause a literal genius for the media to select the appropriate prose to describe it accurately without bias one would have thought…….
Get ready for SHocking II.

They also did a kicking drill before @HKTigerB got there called (EKP), 3 groups in each 3rd of the ground, mainly short sharp keeping off type kicks and the occasional long kick to target to switch play. 100% there is way more focus on kicking, hopefully it bares fruit.
Wondering what EKP is short for? maybe Exact Kicking Precision?
I will agree with HK that JNR is looking somewhat better.
My boy Tom Brown continues his promising pre-season.
Kosi and Miller had a bit of a coming together, for just a moment they didn't think too much of each other:cool:
Oliver Hayes-Brown did not like my Wolfmother nickname and has shaved it all off :( ;)
As HK mentioned a few boys that they are easing back in mainly train the Monday and Friday and also more players are managed on the Wednesday but for most, today was still a solid session.
Samson Ryan took a couple of good grabs and pin point by foot.
Balta has come back leaner.
Bauer was one of the managed players somewhat today but rest assured he is pretty much back in full training as in previous sessions he looked good, (this is a revelation because I have never highlighted him before and when I had I would say his is poor and sloppy at training, my opinion later validated by Dimma who publicly stated Bauer was not a good trainer).
No Nank today and don't think I spotted DRioli, (hard to tell as no number wearing and they all train in black singlets and half in caps).
A sneaky shout out to Kaleb Smith, (who is manly training Monday's and Friday's), he has showed some impressive snippets in previous sessions, run and carry off half back has been excellent.
EKP, an old Latin saying

Ebrius Kalium Paludatus

Roughly translates to

Kick *smile* proper like you smattering of *smile* useless *smile*

chatgpt went on to suggest a more accurate way to write the phrase in Latin would be something like “Calcate recte ut turba inutilis”, which literally means “Kick rightly as a crowd of useless ones”.

Yeah there was one blond youngster we couldn't work out and then remembered the NAB kids. So one was there. Good skills but very slight.
Tom Gross is blonde and training with us.

Tom Gross
Midfielder/forward
181cm/70kg
15/9/06
Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro

With a tenacious and tough approach, there is a bit of Rory Sloane in the way Gross attacks his game. He spent this season with the Chargers as a forward/midfielder, kicking nearly a goal a game, including a couple of big games late in the Coates Talent League campaign. He has a bit of a rugged nature to his play that sees him throw himself into contests and come out the other side with the ball.

Bad news if your HRS/Graham & Ross.
Both Graham and Ross' disposal were fantastic this season. From memory, Ross barely missed a kick this season and was fantastic on the wing once he cemented his spot. Now whether the wing is right for him is a totally seperate argument but to criticise his disposal is complete nonsense.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were in the top percentile of the whole team.

More proof that fans only see what they want to see to suit their agenda.

You accuse me of seeing things i want to see.fmd
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

I'm just using facts mate.

Those 2 players did not have an issue with their disposal this season - Hugo did, so I didn't debate that.

Jack Riewoldt also said on many occasions that Jack Graham was his favourite player to lead to - reckon that holds up too.

Hairsmith and Graham are not in the same conversation, disposal wise.

Ross has always been a neat user in congestion too, and hits the safe target on the outside. Great decision maker, and excellent composure, at the very least.

Stats can give out the wrong picture.
How many of the disposals were less than 20mtrs?
Seen Graham and Ross on heaps occasions miss a target or float a kick.
Those stats say they're elite. They're far from it.
